Believe It or Not from Ripley, Ontario - it
d happen right here. Graham Cook took
the few steps from his place over to the
house of neighbours Doug and Irene Liddle
on Queen St. south. There Graham said to
Doug as he opened his hand, "Does this
belong to you?" Doug could hardly believe
what he was seeing. 'There was Doug's
special ring given to Doug by Irene. Doug.
had host it last fall when helping Graham lift
his potatoes.
The potatoes covered with mud had to be
set up to dry for a couple of hours. Finally
they were put in the cellar and Graham set'
aside one bag for planting. Recently when
Graham finished planting this bag there
was the ring in the bottom, of the bag.
They figure that it slipped off his finger
unnoticed and remained there all this time.
Last fall they hunted for it and finally gave
up all hope of ever seeing it again.
So they were all pleased to see it turn up,
especially since it was such a special ring.
