The committal service was at South Kinloss Cemetery On Saturday. Visitors during the week with Edna and May Boyle were Mrs. John Barr, Miss Winnifred Percy of here, Rev. Merelyn Letson of Lucknow and Mr. Judd Purdy of London. Ladies from here attended the Hospital Auxiliary tea at Ripley Legion Hall on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. John W. Scott, formerly of conces- sion 10 and now of Ripley was able to return home on Saturday after undergoing hip surgery at University Hospital in London. We are glad you are home and steadily improving Jack. Relatives from here attended a bridal shower at the Lucknow Community Centre for Darlene Coiling. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Shawn y. May Boyle Fitzgerald (Joyce Scheurwater) who were married in the Kinlough Pentecostal Church on June 21. Pastor M. Christensen officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Edbert Bushell were guests at the Stevenson -Bushell wedding on Saturday at Bernie United Church and at the reception at the Ripley complex. We are sorry to report that Lucas Thacker had the misfortune to fall and fracture his arm. We send our best get well wishes. Mr. and Mrs. Edbert Bushell attended the graduation of their granddaughter Miss Anne Fraser at Fanshawe College on Thursday. She received her diploma as a Legal Secretary. Anne has accepted a position in Kitchener. Our best wishes Anne. Community sends sympathy The community would like to send its sympathy to Edna Culbert and family, on the passing away of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Matheson in St. Mary's Hospital in London, on June 13, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Matheson was in her 93rd year. The funeral was on Tuesday and the interment took place in the Listowel cemetery. Charles and Mayme Wilkins had some of their family with them on Sunday for father's day. Weekend visitors with Kae and Welling- ton Webster were their two sons, Cecil and Jim Webster of Waterloo and their daughter and granddaughter, Jean and Tricia Wise of Richfield, Ohio. Sunday visitors with Barry and Betty Jones were Betty's brother, sister-in-law and also her nephews Brian, Kelly, Steven and Brady Hunter of London. The community would like to send get well wishes to Mrs. Elleda Irwin on her return from Wingham Hospital, where she was a patient for a week after a fall in her home. Happy birthday to Teena Morton who turned 17 on June 18. Surprise dinner party held for Irene Hodgins On Thursday, June 21 a surprise dinner was held in London to honour the 75th birthday of Irene Hodgins. A beautiful buffet was enjoyed by 20 members of her family at The Garage in London.
