Swimming pool
ready to go
The Lucknow Swimming Pool is ready
for another season with many activities
planned for everyone.
Helen Maclnture, Wilma Vandervelde,
Heather MacIntyre, Julie Nicholson and
Marilynne MacIntyre will be working at the
pool this summer.
July swimming lessons begin Monday,
July 7. There are a few openings left in
July and August classes. If you are
interested in registering a swimmer please
contact the swimming pool.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved
in the programs offered at the pool. Adult
lessons are for those who do not know how
to swim and want to learn and also for
those who know the techniques and want to
practise.
The ladies exercise class is always
popular. New ladies are encouraged to join
the fun and get fit while doing exercises in
the shallow water.
This summer Helen MacIntyre will be
leading Aquafit classes. The response to
the aerobics classess which she offered
during May and June was very encourag-
ing. Helen is hoping to have many people,
men and ladies, become involved in this
Aquafit program which involves aerobic
exercises done in the pool.
This summer Elizabeth Black will be
running the playground activities from 9:00
a.m. to noon during the swimming lesson
sessions.
