[Photo by Sharon Dietz] CGIT members graduate Five Lucknow CGIT members graduated at the Sunday morning worship service at Lucknow United Church on June 15. The CGIT group sang for the congregation accompanied on the guitar by leader, Laurie Bell. Brenda Gibson lit the Christ -Candle. Former CGIT members joined the group in the CGIT Purpose and Hymn. The graduates, Brenda Gibson, Denise Helm, Bonnie Henderson, Kim Laidlaw and Julie Nicholson were introduced by leader Laura Lee Cayley. Candles were lit for Friendship, Seeking, Serving, Caring and Growth and each girl shared memories and activities of her five years. Lynne McDougall assisted in the presen- tations of CGIT spoons to the graduates from Lucknow and Whitechurch United Church Women and diplomas, graduation pins and roses from the CGIT group. Bonnie Henderson read the scriptures. Guest speaker Jean Sangster, National CGIT president gave the message, entitled The Art of Listening. Special CGIT songs were sung throughout the service accom- panied by organist and pianist, Brenda Davies. The CGIT entertained at a social hour following the service. Kinloss refuses requisition, asks board to explain increase Kinloss Council met for the regular meeting on June 2 with Reeve Barry Johnston and all council members present. A motion was passed that the Township withhold future payments on 1986 requisi- tion to the Bruce County Board of Educa- tion until a satisfactory explanation has been received from the Board explaining the 15.36 per cent increase in the 1986 re- quisition over the previous year. The in- crease to Township ratepayers for 1985 was $19,166.00 up 10.20 per cent over the The Man To See Is previous year and the increase for 1986 is $31,810.00 up the 15.36 per cent over 1985. A copy of the motion was forwarded to the Bruce County Board of Education.
