Counties was held May 27, 1986 at Central
United Church in Owen Sound at 7 p.m. 46
members and guests enjoyed dinner and
were reminded of the Associations need to
strive for "the improvement of .respiratory

Association community health
programs."
A Spring Appeal is under way to help

smoking, and teaching the need for
healthy lungs.

during our 1985-86 campaign, and thanked
everyone for their support. Erik Thomsen
presented the Financial Report and ap-
pointed Ward Mallette as Auditors for the
coming year.
The members were given a preview tour
of the new Grey Bruce Regional Health
Centre conducted by Dr. Ralph Reese and
Dr. George Sanz, who are both Directors of
the Lung Association. Members expressed
their appreciation of this impressive facili-

well equipped modern hospital in our area.
Jr. Ag program
ready to begin
The Junior Agriculturalist program is
ready to begin operation for another year.
Young people between the ages of 16-18
with no previous farming experience are
eligible for the program.
These students must show a willingness
to work and learn on a Host Family Farm
for the length of the program (June-Aug-
ist). Students will be required to work and
live with the family for 12 out of every
14 days.
The Host Family must run a full time
commercial operation and have a keen
interest in supervising and working with
inexperienced young people. The Host
Family is required to supply a training
allowance of $10 per day as well as the
students room and board. The Ministry of
Agriculture and Food will meet that $10
per day to enable the student to receive a
total training allowance of $20 per day.
