Church auxiliary holds meeting
The Lucknow Evening Auxiliary met in
the Presbyterian Church for their regular
monthly meeting on May 20 with Mrs. Jack
MacDonald presiding.
The call to worship was a poem.
A prayer on Housecleaning pointed out
that as "God sweeps the stars and planets
clean so we should enjoy keeping our
houses clean and fresh".
Mrs. Noble Johnston gave the devotional
in the theme, The secret of happiness.
Mrs. Ronald Forster continued the study
of North American Indians by quoting•from
a book. She also played a taped interview
which the Chief of the Saugeen Indian
Reserve had given her.
The chief wants a new treaty with the
white man. He maintains pthe present
treaty is too vague and, the government
lawyers are able to interpret it in ways not
advantageous to the Indian. The mission-
aries came to this area in the 1830s' and
there have been Christian Indians since
that time. The chief is encouraging' his
people to revive their culture and learn
their own language.
After the business was concluded the
meeting closed with a hymn and the
mizpah benediction. A social half-hour was
enjoyed with Mrs. Virden Mowbray and
Mrs. Norman Taylor as hostesses.

Questions
Is Baba'u'llah Mentioned
In The Bible?
Every Holy Book make such referen-
ce. The English translation of the
Bible makes many references to the
English translation of Baha'u'llah
which is The Glory of God. One
specific which comes to mind is
found in Acts Chapter 7 Verse 55
"But He, being full of the Holy
Ghost (Spirit), looked up steadfastly
into Heaven, and saw The Glory of
God and Jesus standing on the right
hand of God."
This is not however,, the proof of a
Messenger from God, As in the days
of Christ it is still "By their fruits ye
shall know them." The fruits of all
the Messengers of God are their life,
their word and the effect it has on
their followers.
If you have any questions.
about the Baha'i Faith you
would like answered in this col-
umn, please phone or write:
