Annual fishing trip enjoyed
Finlay MacDonald, his 'son George Mac-
Donald of Ashfield township, Finlay
MacLennan and Brad Sinclair of Kitchener
spent a few days at Lake Panache, north of
Sudbury, for their annual fishing trip. They
all arrived home safely Tuesday evening.
They found the weather cold and the fish
were not biting either.
Rhetta MacLennan. had a number of her
•
grandchildren with her on the weekend.
Visiting were Timmy, Roddy, Shawn and
Cindy MacLennan of Goderich, children of
the late Eldon MacLennan; Colin MacLen-
nan of Agincourt, son of George MacLen-
nan; Tommy and Frank MacLennan of
Kincardine, sons of Finlay MacLennan and
Virginia MacLennan, of Halifax, Nova
Scotia, daughter of George MacLennan.
Visiting with Dorothy (D.A.) MacLennan
was her sister, Katie Sutherland, her
daughter, Peggy (Bubbles) Heffernan of
London and her son, Finlay MacLennan of
Kitchener.
Margie MacDonald had her brother-in-
law Donald McKinnon and his son Patrick
McKinnon of Paris visit with her on the
weekend while Finlay was away on his
annual fishing trip.
Mayme Wilkins has been quite busy
with her green houses these last few
weeks, getting her seedlings and plants
ready for the gardens and flower beds.
Betty Jones was in London on Tuesday,
and while in the city she visited with her
parents in Dorchester and Barry's mother
in St. Marys.
On Sunday; Cecil Webster, with his
mother and father, Wellington and Kae
Webster, went to Goderich and picked up
Norrna Young and took her for a little ride
in the country.
Nurse speaks to UCW members

President Mrs. Clarence Ritchie wel-
comed the members to the general meeting
of the UCW and read a poem.
Mrs. Jack Treleaven, chairman of the
citizenship and social action committee,
presided for the program and opened with
a prayer and the singing of hymn 376. Mrs.
Leonard Goodhue read the scripture and
Mrs. William Bolt gave the meditation,
The devotions stressed the importance of
leading a useful life. Prayers were given by
Mrs. Charles Anderson and Mrs. Charles
MacDonald as well as a reading by Mrs.
MacDonald. Hymn 388 was sung.
Mrs. Treleaven introduced the guest
speaker, Mrs. Sharon Long of Wingham, 'a
registered nurse. She and her husband Dr.
Peter Long served in Faro, Yukon Territory
for 71/2 years with the native Indian people.
The., total population. is approximately
18,000 with (mid-third being. Indians.
. She. outlined the history. of the various
bands, the Progress ,and downfalls tf the
'native 'people over the years. Mrs. Long
served ori different committees In their
community and told of benefits available to
these people as well: as medical work she
did with her husband hi this field.

were asked from the floor and capably
answered by Mrs. Long. She was thanked
by Mrs. Gordon Cayley.
Mrs. C. Ritchie presided for the business
period when the various chairtten report-
ed. Community Friendship are planning a
luncheon on June 17 for those over 7S. The
CGIT graduation exercises will be on :biline
15 at 11 a.M. in the church and a retreat for
UCU members at Silver Lake on -Jung .7.
The Survival house in Goderich are asking
for help on September 25. •
The supply and social assistance report-

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the Wingham and District Hospital
Corporation will be held in the Nursing Assistants Training Centre, Catherine Street,
Wingham, Ontario on Thursday, June 19, 1986, at the hour of eight o'clock p.m., for
consideration and confirmation of changes to Administrative Bylaws 1 [e], 20-30
inclusive, 31-36 inclusive, 38 [d], 46 [f] [11], 46 [h], and Medical Staff Bylaws 2 [a] [b], 9
[2], 19, 20, 36 [2], 50 [7]; for the election of Governors; for the appointment of
Auditors; and for the transaction of such other things as may properly come before the
meeting.

obtained at the front desk of the Wingham and District Hospital prior to three o'clock
p.m., Thursday, June 19, 1986.
Membership granting voting privileges may be purchased at the front desk of the
hospital for one dollar [S1.00] prior to five o'clock p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 1986. No
membership -sold after that time, on that date, will entitle the purchaser to a vote.
