Herb and Mary Buckton spent a week visiting with Dr. Bill and Mrs. Buckton, George and David in Waterloo. Congratulations to Wilma and Leonard Clarke on their 25th wedding anniversary. Wilma's family from Brampton were up for the weekend to be with them for their happy occasion. Mr. and Mrs. John MacDonald and their three sons and friend of Sudbury and Mrs. Carl De Leuge (Joan MacDonald) of Toronto spent the holiday .weekenu at Clandonald. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Needham of Corunna spent a few days recently with Jack and Blanche Needham. William Dickie is a proud owner of a cow who had triplet calves last week. William is happy when some of his cows have twins but was very happy when this cow had triplets. Barry Johnston found a cluster of helium filled red balloons in his field on Monday when he was fixing fences. They were attached with a tag to say they were from Faith United Methodist Church of Denton Road, Belleville, Michigan, which is straight west of Detroit. SOUTH June and Bob Gilchrist attended the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Wall in Wingham on Saturday. Ira and Elizabeth Dickie attended a birthday party for their son, Douglas of Markdale on Sunday. From there, they plan to spend a few days at their cottage at Hope Bay. The Lucknow School Band were on their musical tour last week. They 'stopped at different schools between Wingham and Kitchener These band members had a very enjoyable time and were honoured to play for these other schools who showed their appreciation. The executive of Grey Ox Society met for the annual meeting at the home of Jack and Blanche Needham. Future plans for the further financing towards the upkeep of the memorial plaque were discussed. The executive consists of Jack Needham, Elizabeth Dickie, Marg Keith, Anne MacDougall, and Harvey MacDougall. Junior WI to see Blyth production The Lucknow Junior Women's Institute held their regular meeting on May 13 in the Lucknow Town Hall. A decision was made to see the play Gone to Glory at Blyth, after supper at an, as yet, undecided restaurant. The copies of the book A Little Bit More of Everything, Vol III are not yet available but members will have them for sale as soon as we receive them. The executive for the upcoming year was installed. They are: president, Elizabeth Irvin; vice president, Deanna Reavie; secretary, Anne Inglis; treasurer, Donna Arnold; public relations officer, Cecilia Miltenburg; branch directors, Nancy Ait- chison and Pat Porter; provincial director, Nancy Brown. The executive met to plan programs tor the coming year on May 19 at the home of Elizabeth Irvin. The guest speaker for the evening was. Sharon Creighton of the Bruce County Health Unit. She discussed various things a child needs to receive from his or her parents including: love, respect, self image and discipline. Each area was illustrated with concrete examples and questions from the members and guests. She also explained how the STEP program works. Her knowledge of resource people available. prompted us to plan to sponsor a stress workshop in September or October. The meeting ended with lunch and continued discussion.
