We met students from other i schools. Jodi and Candy met two handsom young exhibitors. When our projects were'removed we went to the Propeller Club for the Awards Ceremony. Cailin Clarke won first place for her project on Woody and Candy Fielder won fire...tan her division for her experiments with, -crystals. Adam _Skillet} was awarded sec,mid'place for hiS project on the Brain. Panr#ehn earned third place for his experiment's about Bridges. A. third place award was also presented to Michael Stanley for his study of stars in The Winter Sky. ' - Other students ..who participated in the. Gary Stein. , • • • Peter Reavie. held in the Wiarton Arena on April 17th. We left at &;00 in the morning. We arrived at 10:15 and unloaded our projects. Once everyone was set up, those with odd numbered projects waited to be judged while the others went to 'Y.AC . The people from Young Astronauts' Canada told us abotit the future Canada will have in space. We were each given a set of posters. The presentation by Science North included a number of slides about animals. We were able to see a short tailed shrew, a flying squirrel and hold a black rate snake or a water snake, Ralph, the friendly porcupine walked on our backs. At the Ontario Science Centre_ exhibit there were puzzles to solve. there was also a Ham radio exhibit and a fitness test: After lunch the odd and even numbered exhibitors changed places. At 5:00 every- body from Lucknow had supper. ,We had 3 pieces of chicken, bread, cole slaw, potato salad, and milk.
