The Wingl3am and Area .Day Center for
the Homebound has been busy chasing
away the rain and snow by keeping busy at
the Armouries.
&On April 7 - 11, Christine Gibson has
been working at the Day Centre as part of
hex §chva!lag experience:
in the first few weeks of April, there
have been mainly regular programs
eiinsisting of singing, exercise programs, a
full course noon meal; crafts and sotializa-
don. On April 10, for outing, Day
Center patrons attended the Belmore
Maple Syrup Festival -on Senior Citizens'
Day. The outing proved to be a "stuffing"
day. The meal of pancakes, maple syrup
and sausage was the greatest attraction.
After all were full, the group 'browsed
through the crafts and displays,played.
bingo and listened to the entertainment

volunteers in the future.
For the "65" Centre Volunteers there is
,a Spring Fling which consists of a special

from, - 3 p.m.; regular programs; a Blyth
Summer Festival speaker (1986 season
plays); and an outing to Sacred Heart
School to see a Beverly Hillbillies play.
To wear off the pounds added at the
Belmore Festival, a trip is planned to a
Water exercise program at the Vanastra
Recreation Center. The exercise program
in the '•water is a unique -way to enjoy
getting fit, especially for older adults.
