Ripley Peewee Bs 4, Lucknow 2
Lucknow travelled to Ripley for a game
with the Ripley boys. These two teams
have had several games this season. Ripley
opened up the scoring late in the first
period. Paul MacDonald netted the puck on
a pass from Sam Snobelen and Mike Aren-
burg.
Lucknow came out at the start of second
period and scored a pair of goals. Marks-
men were Paul Sandy from Richard Brind-
ley and Dennis Johnston and Stanley Kik-
kert from Ray Kikkert and Dennis
Johnston.
Ripley's Kris Lowry scored from Mark
MacLeod and this left the score a 2 - 2 tie to
end the second period.
The third period saw Lucknow struggling
against a determined Ripley team. Ripley's
Paul MacDonald from Sam Snobelen and
Kevin Taylor scored early in the third
period. With only 34 seconds left to play,
again Ripley's Mike Arenburg scored from
Paul MacDonald.
Final score Lucknow 2 - Ripley 4. During
the game Lucknow received four penalties,
Ripley 3.
Clinton 2, Lucknow 1
Lucknow B's travelled to Clinton for an
exhibition game - the first to match up with
Clinton this year.
Clinton came out eager to play and
hustled two goals in on goalie Allan
Kikkert and his defence in the first period.
Marksmen for Clinton: Paul Caldwell
assisted by Jason Wilson and Jeff
DeRutter. Lee Norman scored from Greg
Crawford.
Lucknow left the ice at the end of first
period trailing by two.
The second period was scoreless.
Lucknow's only goal in the third period
came from Stanley Kikkert on assist from
Lyndon Johnston and Steven Rintoul.
No penalties were handed out at all - a
change from the previous game against
Ripley.
Lucknow 8, Clinton 1
Lucknow and Clinton had another game
this one to be the last for Lucknow this
year. This game saw Randy Guay call
several penalties in trying to stress more
playing the puck.
Clinton's Lee Norman opined up the
scoring and this was to be their only goal.
Lucknow goalie Allan Kikkert made several
gdod saves for his team. Lucknow scorers
were. Butch Foran • for two; Richard
Brindley for two, Stanley Kikkert for two;
Paul Sandy and Matthew Sproul, each with
one.
It's plain to see this team has come a
long way since their first game. Coaches
Barry Johnston and Ray Brown gave a lot
of their time and patience to this team. The
team looks forward to a barbecue in the
summer.:
Kerr receives wishes for rfrovery
Wishes go to Merle Kerr for a speedy
recovery. He is a patient at Victoria
Hospital in London.
Visiting on the weekend with Ted and
Shirley Martin and family were Shirley's
parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed McDonald and
niece Tammy Lickie. Shirley's brother and
wife Mr. and Mrs. Frank McDonald and
their children Jason. and Christine also
visited..
Mrs. Janice VanDiepenbeek and Mrs.
Laurie' Dalton becatrie members of St
Joseph's Church, Kingsbridge.
Melvin O'Rielly, formerly from Kings-
bridge, passed away in Detroit on Sunday,
April 13. He will be sadly missed by 'those
who knew him.
Cletus, Mary Louise, Jennifer amfeathy
Dalton spent Tuesday in London Shopping.
