Sunshine Sisters revealed at banquet
St. Helens 'Women's Institute held its
annual Sunshine Sister.banquet on April 1
in the Institute Hall. This is when members
find out who has_ been sending cards and
gifts throughout the past year and another
name is picked for the coming year; A
delicious . beef dinner was served by
Donnybrook UCW. •
The guest speaker was Murray Gaunt,
CKNX farm, editor, who showed slides and
spoke on the Farm Tour of England,
Scotland and Ireland which he took last
summer.
Prizes were given for perfect attendance
in 1985-86 to Mrs. Jim Aitchison, Mrs.
Ross Errington and Mrs. Harold Cooper.
The annual meeting of St, Helens
Women's Institute was held on April 3 at
the hall beginning with. a pot luck dinner.
The rollcallwas. the payment of fees for the
year.
A donation was made to the Lucknow.
Agricultural Society. It was decided to
continue the card parties for this month. As
April.. is, cancer month, kits were distributed
to members to canvas this area. Standing
committee reports and financial reports for
1985-86 were read by the conveners.

for officers for 19.86-87 resulted in the
