Horticulture society starts year
The Lucknow and District Horticulture
Society ,net in the Legion Hall "March 19
with 27 present. Minutes were read and
adopted by Mrs. M. MacGillivray who took
the president's chair for 'Mrs.. Logan.
Treasurer's report was given by Mrs.
Henderson. -
The committee of Mrs. McDougall, June
Bremner, Joan. Robinson aid Mrs. Dickie
had charge of the meeting. Joan Robinson
had an article on hoW_to care for your
amaryllis, and .a poem on gardening.
Mr, Dickie, Mrs. Moffat, Mr. Campbell
and Jean Conley played several musical
numbers.

Mrs. MacGillivray introduced the guest
speaker, Mrs. Remington, from Kincard-
ine. She is a judge on 'flowers at various
fairs. She showed those attending many
vaivavre things to do for showing plants
and making arrangements.
She was thanked by Mrs. McDougall and
presented with a gift.
District 8 convention is to be held in
Owen Sound. April 12. Several members
will be going. Workers were also requested
for the three days of the Lucknow Home
Show at the Community Centre April 11,
12, 13. Mrs. Burkhart told about the June
trip which will be discussed later.
Allan Foreman
Allan Foreman of '„ R. # 2, Lucknow,
formerly of Cambridge, , passed away sud-
denly at Winghaxn and" District Hospital on
Wednesday, March 26, 1986 in his 70th
year.
He is survived by his wife wife Frances
Robb, and his children Ronald and h"s wife
Paulette of Branchton, Florence (Mrs.
Rick' Ritter), of 'Cambridge, Larry and his
wife Barbara -of Tiverton, Betty (Mrs.
Andre' Pillon) of Princeton, B.C., Sandra
(Mrs. Harry Mazananian) of Maple. Ont-
;.ario,, "Mrs. Edward Warren of Alcona and
Darren at home.
The late Mr. Foreman is also survived by
his brothers and sisters; James, Robert,
Harry, Clara Culham and Margaret Ralph
all of Cambridge, his sister -in -lave Joy
Foreman • of Sheffield, and nine grand-
children. ,
Funeral service was conducted'at Coutts
and Son Funeral Home, Cambridge on
Saturday, March 29. Interment in Memory
. Gardens. Donations to Ontario Heart and
Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.,
Hehn elected president

The first meeting of the Trinity 4-H club
was held on March 19 at the home of Hazel
Hackett. Four members- and two " leaders
started the meeting by repeating the 4-H
pledge.
Nominations were held for the positions
ofpresident and vice president. All agreed
that Janine Helie should be the president
and Nancy Hunter be the vice president.
The meeting, was finished up by reading
fromthebooks and thenext meeting was
arranged to .be held at Brenda Gibson's
home on 'March 22 at 9:30 a.m.
