Lucknow Atom A 4, Paisley 0
The Lucknow Atom As have won their
first two playoff games against Paisley with
scores of 4 - 0 and 8 - 1. Scoring in the first
garne were Chris Stevenson assisted by
Rob Crich, Brad Rhody unassisted, Chris
Stevenson once moreassisted by Rob Crich
and finally Rob Crich with Chris Stevenson
assisting.
Lucknow 8, Paisley 1
In the second game Chris Stevenson
scored three times for another hat trick
assisted by Rob Crich and Justin Murray
on two and one unassisted. Ray Dalton and
Steve Porter scored with Brad Rhody
assisting on their goal. Warren Andrew
scored a very nice unassisted goal. Clint
Murray scored twice with Donnie Cuillerier
assisting on one and Steve Porter on the
other.
Mildmay Tourney
The Lucknow Atom As lost the Mildmay
tournament by one goal after being
successful against Wallace 2 - 0, Dorchest-
er 4 - 3, and Drayton 2 - 0. The team lost
out to Shallow Lake who also won the
tourney last year. The score was 4 -.3 await
proved to be a very exciting hockey game.
Scoring in the Wallace; .: •game were
Donnie . Cuillierere assisted by Justin
Murray and Chris Stevenson wrapped it up
also assisted by -Justin Murray.. ;Tustin
Murray received player of the game award.
Chris Stevenson opened the scoring
against Dorchester assisted by Terry
Stanley. Terry Stanley scored the second
goal assisted by Chris Stevenson. At this
point the game was 3 - 2 for Dorchester and
Vince Sticklend put in the tie goal assisted
by Matt Drennan which allowed Justin
Murray to put it away for Lucknow assisted
by Rob Crich. Chris Stevenson received
player of the game award for this very
exciting game.
The game against Drayton was the
winner for Lucknow which allowed, them to
play in the championship game for the first
time in eleven years. Chris Stevenson
scored for Lucknow assisted by Justin
Murray and Justin Murray also scored
unassisted.
There was a lot of post hitting in this
game and the Drayton goalie was very
good, but Lucknow goalie Adam Skillen
received player of the game.
In the final game against Shallow Lake
Chris Stevenson scored twice unassisted
and Justin Murray scored the . third
assisted by Chris Stevenson.
It was not enough however as Shallow
Lake came back after being down 3 - 2.
Terry Stanley received player of the game
award. for his excellent defense. Terry was
excellent and outstanding in his defensive
plays in all games. Chris Stevenson who
was also outstanding in .all games received
,.- a trophy for the most valuable player in the
tournament.
Novice close out season
Ripley Novice 1, Lucknow 0
On Tuesday evening March 18 Lucknow
Novice travelled to Ripley for an exhibition
game. The first and second period
remained scoreless. Ripley came on strong
in the third period and notched one in,
Lucknow continued to press but couldn't
get the Tuck behind ;Ripteyfis goalie..
Luclwow 3, Wingham 1
The Lucknow Novice ended their hockey
season on a winning note as they edged the
Wingham Kentucky. Nuggets 3 - 1, Shawn
Bellmore started Lucknow off as he scored
in the first 20 seconds of play:.
Robin Paolin scored midway through the °
third period giving Lucknow a two goal
lead. Wingham's oshiohnston notched
one goal putting Wingham back in the
game. Wingham then • pulled their goalie .
trying ..to tie up this match when Shawn
Bellmore scored his second goal of the
game.
The Lucknow boys have shown a great
improvement from the first of the season
and can look forward to an even better '
season next year.
Lucknow faces Ripley
Lucknow Peewee Bs 6, Ripley 2
Ripley travelled to Lucknow for another
rematch between these two local teams,
Scoring for Lucknow was Lyndon John-'
ston from Ray Kikkert. Ripley also scored
and the score was 1 - 1 at the end of the
first period.
In the second period, Lucknow scored
twice from Richard Brindley, , who was
assisted on both goals by Paul Sandy.
Score at the end of the second period was
3 - 1 for Lucknow.
In the third period, Richard Brindley
opened up scoring from Steven Rintoul.
Within seconds Jamie Johnston scored on
a pass from Steven Rintoul.
Ripley scored late in the third period and
Lucknow scored with only seconds left to
play. This last goal was Richard Biindley's
fourth goal of the game on a ,pass from
Jamie Johnston.
The Ripley marksmen are not mentioned

because the team numbers were not listed
on the game sheet.
This game was played well by both
teams with very few penalties handed out.
Lucknow 2, Ripley 2
Another rematch in Lucknow saw- Ripley
and Lucknow keep both goalkeepers busy
and the game was scoreless at the end of
the first period.
Ripley scored early in the second period
on an unassisted goal by Paul MacDonald.
In a minute Ripley's Dave Moore scored to
give Ripley a 2 0 lead into the third
Lucknow came alive in the third period
with a nice goal froth Mervyn Kikkert on a
pass from Matthew Sproul. Lucknow's
Paul Sandy ended. the game on a goal from
Butch Foran.
Final score was 2 - 2.
These two teams are at it again on
Saturday in Ripley.
