the late Nat Thomson's achievements listed
Nat Thomson, son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Thomson of Hughway 86 west
of Whitechurch, passed away at Brace -
bridge Hospital March 16, 1986. Besides
his parents he was predeceased by
brothers Ralph, Nelson, Dick, Sam and
Stanley and sisters Ethel and Edna. He
leaves to mourn his loss nieces and
nephews.
Nat was overseas in World War I and on
his return did eavestroughing and plumb-
ing.
He was ever ready to help his fellow man
when in trouble. He was a member of the
Salvation Army citadel in Wingham.
His funeral was held on March 18 at 2
p.m. at Lucknow Funeral Home. Hymns
sung were Old Rugged Cross and Amazing
Grace.
The order of service was conducted by
Captain Borden Linkletter of Wingham and
Captain L. Pritchett who sang a solo. The
devotional service was given by Captain
Linkletter.
Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery in
the spring.
The community extends deepest sym-
pathy to relatives and friends.

Lucknow, Mr. and Mrs. Dave MacDonald
of Wingham.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross who accom-
panied Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gaunt in their
motor home to Florida returned on Monday
last after a week's visit there. They report
good weather and a very interesting trip
returning home by local bus service.
Ernest Beecroft attended a special
service at Maple Keys Sugar Bush on
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ross, Diane and
Debbie went by car to Florida and spent 10
days there and visited with her mother and
dad who were also holidaying there.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Nicholson, Ryan, Erin
and Craig of Egmondville spent Sunday
with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John de
Boer.
There will be a Good Friday service in
Chalmers Presbyterian Church on March
28 at 8 p.m. with Rev, G. Ball in charge.
\Mr. and Mrs. Barry Elliott, Ryan, Kyle
and Nicole visited on Sunday with Mr, and
Mrs, David Elliott of Owen Sound.
Chalmers WMS met on Wednesday at
the home of Mrs. Norma Rintoul with
leaders Mrs. Don Ross and Mrs. Hugh
Simpson in charge of the service. The topic
was Easter. The scripture was read by
Mrs. Don Ross.

The minutes were read by Mrs. Bill
Purdon and rollcall was answered by a
Bible verse with the word cross in it. Easter
hymns were sung. Readings were given by
Mrs. Elliott and Mrs. Norma Rintoul.
Guests last week with Mr. and Mrs. Carl
McClenaghan were Mr. and Mrs. Doug
Baird, Cayuga; Mrs. Lou Anne Dobber-
tein; Mrs. Sherry Cooper; Mrs. Angela
Anthony and son Rychman; Doug Duncan;
Mrs. Marian Fess and sons Ken and Kevin
of Brambrook.
On Saturday all the above folks and Mr.
and Mrs. Carl McClenagahn attended Mrs.
Annie Maclntyre's birthday party at
Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Vannus and Laurc,n of
London spent _Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Leroy Laidlaw.
Visitors with Mrs. Norma Rintoul on
Saturday were Mrs. Dave OberholtzerTand
Julie of Waterloo and Mrs. Robinson,
Mark, Tracy and Tim' of Belgrave.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rintoul,
Steven, Scott and Stuart visited with Mrs.
Norma Rintoul.
