Averages wedding costs
The traditional wedding is back in style
these days, with the average cost of
walking down the aisle more than $4,800,
according to Bride's magazine, which
puts the average cost of a reception at
$2,000.
The traditional rule that the bride's
family pays for everything has blurred
somewhat, and often the groom's family
pitches in. -
One of the major costs of a wedding is
the bridal gown. A recent survey Fegged
the average cost of the bride's gown at
about $400. Most veils, which are extra,
cost more than $100: Bridesmaids dresses
can cost $70 to $180 each,

Buying a wedding dress is costly for to-
day's bride so takin g care of the dress
after the wedding becomes an immediate
concern. ' .
`We can't stress enough that the sooner
the dress is brought into the cleaners, the
better the result will be," says Dawn
Brownlee of Carson Cleaners in Hanover.

better chance of totally getting rid of dirt
and grass stains ,Which often accumulate
around the bottom of the gown the day of

so for spot rernoval, such as wine or food
stains, the bride should blot the area with

request that it be carefully folded and sear
ed in an heirloom box to preserve it.
