Betty Emberlin bowled the high
single with a 253 and Linda Andrew
bowled the high triple with a 589.

Ladies Thursday Night
The high single went to Dianne Wall
with 234 and the high triple was bowled
by Barb Tyler with 639. Women with__

Janet Gunter 223; Marj McMurray 212,
207; and Dianne, Wall 234.

Town and Country
Ladies' high was from Anna 'John-
stone with a single of 184 and a double
of 315.
Bill Uuldriks rolled high for the men
with a single of 269 and a double of 445.

Pansies 5, 42; Grace's Daffodils 2, 40;
Anna's Hyacinths 3, 38; Mary's Snow-
drops 5, 33; Mabel's Tulips 0, 21; Ida's

Kinloss Mixed
Shirley Downey rolled high single for
the ladies with a score of 190. High
triple was rolled by Gerda de Jong with
449.
For the men, Evan Keith was high
with a single of 212 and a triple of 532.
Lloyd MacDougall had a score of 201
single and. 526 triple.

Midgetstake t�urnament
Over the holidays, the team played
seven games with a 5 - 2 record and a
championship ,in the Palmerston Tourna-
ment.
On -Dec. 21, in Goderich, the team lost a
close game. After giving up three goals,
the midgets battled back to tie the score at
three. Goderich went up 5 - 3 with two fast
goals while the Lucknow team could
manage only a single before the bell.
On -Dec. 23, the first Teeswater game of
the year ended in a 5 - 4"victory. Lucknow
opened the scoring with two goals but
Teeswater got their act together with four
r straight. A Lucknow surge in the last six
minutes led to three goals and the victory.
On Dec. 30, the team won . the midget
category of - the Palmerston Tournament
with victories over Howick, Erin and
Brussels. The first game against Howick
was aiack-lustreaffair that dragged°to a 2 -
0 final. The, players were a little more
prepared for the Erin game and skated to 7
- 1 win.
The championship game against Brus-
sels was the tournament highlight. Both
teams played exceptional hockey, skating
all-out in a penalty -free game:
Lucknow scored first but Brussels tied
the score and set the pattern for the game.
Visiting featured in
Lucknow could take the lead but couldn't
hold itas the score was tied at one, •three
and at the end of regulation time, at four.
After a scoreless 10 minute sudden death
overtime, Lucknow won the championship
when Chris Irwin scored the only goal of,
the shoot out.
`A game in Wiarton on Jan. ,5 turned into
more than expected. Although the team
was badly out played in the first two
periods, falling behind 7 - 0, the gained 'a
little respect by out scoring Wiarton 2 - 1 in,
the third for a final score of 8 - 2. During
the game, the weather rapidly deteriorated
atm by ,game's end the highways, were
closed. The -team, , spent an entertaining
.night in Wiarton arena safe and warm as
the elements raged. A special thank you to
team officials, recreation department, town
police and many others in Wiarton.
In Monday night's home stand against
Harriston, the locals scored early but then
gave up three straight and were lucky to tie
the. score 3 - 3 at the break. However, an
early third period goal got things off in the
right direction as Lucknow out scored
Harriston 5 - 1 in the third to finish the
game 8 - 4.
The, team nominates Nancy Murray as
the bus driver of the year.
Dungannon Doings
A Happy New Year to everyone.
Don and Lee Sheller had their son Bob,
Heather and Matthew of Nile for Christmas
Day. On the Saturday before Christmas
their daughter Joanne, her husband, Bob
Mahar and son, Mike of Burke, Virginia
visited.
Tim and Wanda Hodges and Bill, Marie
Park, Todd arid Brad enjoyed Christmas
Day with the olJ ler members of their family
at the home of Mike and Val Bendig,
Goderich.
Gertrude Park visited on Christmas Day
in Auburn with Tom and Mildred Lawlor
and Jim and Deb Lawlor and girls.
Cynthia . and "tarry Anderson were with
Gail and Fran Huber and family in Goderich
for Christmas. .
Ray and Gwen Copeland travelled to
Hanover on Christmas Day to enjoy the day
with Gwen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Klages.'
Jim Stothers of Montreal, enjoyed the
holidays with his parents, Bob and Helen
Stothers. Their daughter Jean, husband Rod
Jervis and grand Iaughter, Dana , of
• Goderich joined them for Christmas which
theyheld on Boxing Day.
Jean Broughton visited with son, Don and
his wife, Jane, granddaughter, Becky and.
grandson, Robert in London for a few days
over Christmas.
Margaret Mole spent Christmas in Hen-
sail with daughter, Nancy and Jack Phillips
and family.
On Thursday, December 19, the Dungan-
non and area seniors enjoyed their fifth an-
nual Christinas 'dinner and get together. A
few members of the Willing Workers served
the delicious food prepared. by the seniors
themselves.
Following the meal, there was a program
of entertainment. Several . people gave
readings or poems.
Dora Alton favored on the violin with
several beautiful Christmas numbers. She
was accompanied on the piano by Roberta
Linskill.
Ernie Durnin very capably performed
some toe tapping tunes on the mouth organ
to everyone's enjoyment. Ed Stiles played.
the "piano for the singing of Christmas carols
led by Roberta Linskll. '
-Margaret Errington gave her version
with much humor, of a spectator to a ball
game for the first time.
Following the program, coffee and cake
was served in the low f e area of the Seniors
Centre.
• Mr. and Mrs.E.lmer, Cook" and Kevin
visited on Christmas•. isy`;with Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Cook and other members of the family
in Goderich.
Happy, Christmas," birthday to little Jenni. t,
Tucker who was 3 years. old on Christmas
Day. Best wishes also to Holly Dauphin,
Jamie Chisholm,: Rob Ohm, Robyn Dawson,
Nicole Sherwood, Heather Brindley and
Kevin `de Bruyn who all celebrate December
birthdays.

Lucknow Peewees found Belmore
On Jan. 3, 'the Lucknow Peewees
travelled to Belmore for a hockey game
against one of the weaker teams in their
league. It was not a spectacular game, with
Lucknow winning 10 - 1.
The game featured a hat truck by Donnie
Gammie. Mike Vandervelde also scored
three goals, but one was disallowed

face mask prior to Mike scoring and the
referee nullified the goal. Both Rod Crich
and Brad Murray had five points; Rod with
one goal, four assists and Brad two goals,
three assists. Other goals were scored by
Dale Priestap and Adrian Rau, who also
had an assist.
