S Christmas meeting
Chalmers WMS held their meeting on
Dec. 20 at the home of Mrs. Norma
Rintoul.
Mrs, Walter Elliott presided for the
meeting. All sang "Little Town of Bethle-
hem". Mrs, Elliott read scripture from
John 4: 7-15 and gave the meditation
"God's Gift" followed by prayer.
' A Christmas reading "Christmas Is",
was read by. Mrs. Isobel MacDonald. All
sang "While Shepherds Watched their
Flocks". ``The Christmas Story" was given
by Mrs., Ball. Mrs. Norma Rintoul read
"Christmas Eve Prayer". The offering was
received and dedicated by Mrs. Don Ross.
The rollcall was answered by eight.
A reading "A New Year's Wish for You"
was given by Mrs. Walter Elliott. All sang

Mrs. Mary Simpson closed the meeting

Rev, Ball thanked Mrs. Rintoul for
having the meeting and those taking part.

Mrs. Ron Nicholson, Erin, Ryan and
Craig of Egmondville spent last week with
her parents Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer as
Mrs. Nicholson is employed at Wingham
Hospital and was on call last week so the
children babysitters were her folks.
Despite freezing rain there was a very
good attendance at the church Sunday
School concert. The weather surely doesn't
give us too muchbf the same thing for too
long.
Bob Ross of Waterloo is home for the
Christmas holidays.
The Beecrofts celebrated Christmas on
Sunday with Ronald Beecroft, Wingham.
Present were Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Beecroft,
Angela, Jennifer,- Janice and Jonathan,
Exeter; Ken Sinnamon, Wingham; and
Jody Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. E. W.
Beecroft, East Wawanosh.
On Sunday evening Christmas get
together was held at the home of Mrs.
Agnes Farrier., Present were Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Davis, Mark and/ Scott of La Salle,
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Farrier, Kimberley
and Amy of Guelph.

Chalmers Presbyterian Church Sunday
School held its concert on Sunday evening
in the Sunday School room.'
• Rev. ,George Ball was the chairman.
Corey Rintoul gave the opening welcome to
all.
All sang • "Little Town of Bethlehem".
The 'Sunday School sang "Angels Sing-
ing". Karen Elliott's Primary class held
cards which. spelled. birthday. along with
their few words about their letter. Amy
Falconer gave a recitation, Christmas
Cards Town„ The Sunday School put en a
play, "One Christmas Eve".
Karen Elliottplayeda, piano solo. Mrs.
Don Ross, superintendent, put on a colored
fllm "LittleSascal's Christmas Specials".
