Ratepayers want entire village serviced with sewers
•from page 3
it was the consensus of those present and
council that Lucknow wants and needs a
system for the complete muncipality rather
than for just the core and problem areas.
The ' Wingham and District Hospital
Board has taken a step to ensure prospec-
tive board members know what they are
getting themselves into. The board agreed
last week to send out a job description to all
municipal - councils which nominate mem-
bers to the board.
In the past some new members have not
had a very clear idea of their duties,
Vice=chairman Mary Lou Thompson told
the board. Some have thought they would
be required to attend only one meeting a
month and that the board shut down for the
summer.
A four year old Lucknow area girl is in
critical condition in a London hospital after
she strayed and fell into the holding tank of
a chicken cleaning operation.
According to Lucknow and District Fire
Chief Bud Hamilton, Adria Graham, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Graham of
RR 1 Lucknow, fell into the holding tank
owned by Roger Cuillerier of RR 3
Holyrood just before the fire department
received the call at 9:35 on Oct. 26.
After mulling it over for six months - and
despite the continued misgivings of some
board, members the board of governors at
the Wingham and District Hospital has
approved setting up a committee to
monitor the, performance of the various
departments at the hospital.
The board -voted last week to establish -a
quality appraisal committee, as recom-
mended last spring by the board's joint
conference committee.

"The rest is everyday business," said
new reeve Herb Clark.
"The sewers are number one and the
