Simpson - Hi, my naive is Tanner
and on Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, 1
had to make room for a new baby.
His name is Chad Stephen Jamas
and he weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. They
say he looks like Inc - must be
cute! Mom and Dad (Tracey and
Steve) are pretty excited but maybe
not as much as Nana and Papa
(Betty and Barry McDonagh) •and
Grandma and Grandpa (Edith and
Donald Simpson).

Nov.. 17, 1994, weighing 11 Ihs. 8
oz., a wee brother for Mary and
Lewis.
Haines - John and Ruth, of
Belgravc, are delighted to announce
the• arrival of their son, William
Robert, born at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, on Nov.7, 1994,
weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz. William is a
wee playmate for Bradley and
Brittany, and S. grandson for,
'Wilfred and Hazel Haines, and
Murray and Mildred Taylor.' •

.woman dies
in Kingston
OBITUARY
Pearl Margaret Bradley.
Pearl Margaret Bradley, the
former Pearl Barger, of Ashfield,
died on Oct. 7, 1994, at the Tril-
lium Nursing Home, Kingston, in
her 92nd year.
Mrs. Bradley was the beloved
wife ofthe late Wilfred Bradley of
Amberley. He was the miller there
for many years. •
She is survived by 'her daughter
Marion and husband Dick Trotter,
of Kingston, and Son George of
Toronto; grandchildren Mary Anne
and Cathy, and great grandson
Danny; and a sister-in-law, Ida
Barger of Lucknow.
The funeral was held in the
Chapel of the Jerrett Funeral Home,
6191 Yongc Street, Tordnto, on
Oct, 10 at •1 p.m.i

Village takes on festive
look with decorations
• It's beginning to look a. lot like
C'hrisunas with the Christmas gar-
lands and bells .on all. the posts on
stain street and the stores starting to
decorate their windows •in
preparation for the festive seasort'
Programs and bazaars are all part of
the activities:
Saturday the bazaar and luncheon
in the Presbyterian church drew a
large crowd and Saturday evening
was the annual Chaunbcr of Com-
merce, dinner and dance in the
Community Centre.
The United Church Sunday
School sponsored a soup and

sandwich lunch following • the
church service on Sunday morning
to help raise money for their .camp
fund.
Gordon and Bernice Johnstone
spent a few days lastweek visiting
with their daughter Marion and gob
McComb, Matthew and Olivia at
Castleton and their son• John and
Janet at Ajax.
Esther Gibson was last
surviving family member

Esther Gladys Gibson, of
Godcrich, formerly of • Ashfield.
Township and Lucknow, died on
Nov. 8, 1994, at the Alexandra
Marinc and General Hospital,
Goderich, in her 88th year.
. Mrs. Gibson was the last sur-
viving member of' a family of 12
born to James E. and Charlotte
(Ferguson) Ritchie. She was born
on Mar. 25,• 1907, in Ashfield
Township.
The former Esther Ritchie. married
Samuel W. Gibson on ,Jan. 19,
1927, in Ashficld Township. Mr.
Gibson predeceased his wife in
1985. 1 .
Mrs. Gibson's ' church and
Women's Institute were !important
parts of her life. But it was her
family, spread from coast to coast,
that pleased her the most, cor-
(responding and visiting regularly
with them. She had the opportunity
this past summer, when accom-
panied by her daughter Gladys, to
visit many family -members in the
west. '
Mrs. Gibson is survived by eight
children: Catherine and husband
John Crocker, of St. Thomas;
Dorothy and husband Donald
Hamilton, of Lucknow; Gladys
Hamilton of Lucknow and Citrus
Ridge; Carolyn and husband Chris
Brown, of Brantford; Ernie and
wife Mary Gibson, of Pine River;
George and his wife Pat Gibson, of
Lucknow; Esther (Cookie) and

husband Paul Wardle' of Forest;
David and wife Val Gibson, of
London; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn
'and her husband Bill Splan of Kin-
cardine.
She will be missed by several
grandchildren and great
grandchildren, and sisters-in-law
Ellen Ritchie, Grace Gibson, and
Sara Ritchie, all of Lucknow and
Mary Gibson, of Agassiz, B.C.
Mrs: Gibson was predeceased by
a son Roy;. grandchildren Dean and
Donalda; great granddaughter Crys-
ta Ley Harrison; son-in-law, Alvin
Hamilton; and brothers and sisters:
Marion Gardner, Boden Ritchie,
Margaret Grant, Ruby Saunders,
Edgar Ritchie, Fred Ritchie, Myrtle
Helm, Jane Eastman, Edna Ross,
Alfred Ritohie and' Frank Ritchie.
Visitation was at the MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral Homc, Luck -
now. Rev. K. Urbansky-Hindly', of
the North Street United Church,
Goderich, where Mrs. Gibson was a
member, conducted the service on
Nov. 11.
Flower bearers were Shawn Dal- '
ton and Dan Gibson.
Pall bearers were Graham Hamil-
ton, Ken Hamilton, Dave Crocker,
Paul Hamilton, Jim Wardle and
Glen Gibson..
Interment' Greenhill Cemetery,
Lucknow.
