Each purchase requires one to sign documents of some sort. The main statement that is signed includes "I promise to pay with interest...". Your major responsibility as a borrower is to repay the loan. But you are also entitled to certain rights when documents are signed. Do you want to avoid the pitfalls? Have we a got a seminar for you! It's entitled "Sharpen Your Credit Management and Negotiating Skills". The participants will learn the effective use of credit in farm business and the legal ramifications for both borrowers and lenders. Teaching teams of OMAFRA staff, lawyers, bankers and farmers will explain security, debtors' rights, tips in negotiating and securing credit as well as, sources, costs and effective use of credit. Swine Seminar Three -site -production is where pigs are raised in three different locations from birth to market. The newborn pigs are born virtually free of disease causing organisms and acquire passive immunity from the sow's cdlostrum, milk. At. 14 days of age the piglets aremoved to a second site or barn, some distance away from the farrowing unit. Using high digestible protein feeds, the piglets are started in a warm, clean, comfortable environment using an all -in all-out technique. Large numbers of healthy wearer pigs can be produced to fill Large finishing barns all at once. The finishing barn operation can take advantage of phase feeding, split sex feeding and all -in, all-out. A number of companies have been co-ordinating the phenomenon of three -site -production. Each seg- ment is guaranteed a .price for a term of years. Along with the positives mentioned, there are un- certainties that exist. With this in mind, a seminar entitled "Three Site Production" has been developed under the leadership of Franklin Kains, Swine Engineer, OMAFRA.
