Bantam B record not indicative of the team's skills
Lucknow's Bantam B team began
its season on Nov. 5 with a game in
Durham.
Lucknow opened the scoring early
in the first period with a goal by
Darryl Aitchison, assisted by
George Carter. Three minutes later,
still moving at a blistering pace, the
team increased its lead with a
second goat courtesy of Jeff
Cranston with assistance from
Taylor Mali and Nathan Ferguson.
This assault encouraged the Dur-
ham team to rally with two quick
goals five minutes later, tieing the
score. Carter regained the, lead for
Lucknow with three minutes
remaining in the first period with
Matt Eadie getting the assist.
The delight was short lived as
Durham tied the score at the end of
the first and successfully thwarted
Lucknow assaults on their goal for
the remainder of the game. Durham
scored once in each of the second
and third periods before the game
ended with an agree upon curfew.
The final score was 5 to 3 for Dur-
ham.
Lucknow served 12 minutes .in
penalties while the Durham team
drew 32 minutes.
The team saw action for the
second time the next day at home
against the Listowel Cyclones.
Neither team was able to break
through the other's defences during
the first period but Listowel
dominated the second period with
four goals.
Early in the third period, Luck-,
now's sole addition' to the
scoreboard was a goal by Richard
Walke, assisted by Darryl Aitchison
and George Carter.
Listowel scored a final goal in the
period to end the game at 5 to 1.
Clint Gunter was welcomed up
from Pee Wee to share net duties
with Sean Lougheed for this game.,
The team is to be commended for

There are good times to sell. And. there are bad, times to sell. The
best time to sell is when a person isready to buy. And when people
are ready to buy, they tum to their newspaper. Not their mailbox.
Too .many times, advertising mail comes at exactly the wrong time,
mixed among your important daily mail. Perhaps that explains why
three times as, many people would prefer to receive their advertising
information from a paper. '
Newspaper readers share a common curiosity about people, places,
facts, figures. And prices. People tum to their newspaper for the
• latest price information, and they tum there with interest. Which
means that's where your advertising message needs' to be.
With all the choices available, it's difficult deciding hoW best to
advertise your business. But everything becomes a little simpler when
you remember one rule...
