meeting
Erlma Haldenby chaired the an-
nual Bible Society meeting for the
Kinlough area on Oct. 4, when the
group met at the Kinloss United
Church.
Eleanor Campbell was organist
for the hymn singing.
Happy birthday was sung to May
Boyle, and the Presbyterian 'trio of
Joan Barr, Betty and Barbara
Bushell sang,• accompanied by Jo
Reid.
Rev. Wib Davison, district
secretary, spoke on hearing -scrip-
tures and A Bible of the Month,
before showing two videos. A New
Day of Hope was on the work and
hopes of the Bible Society. The
second was on Russia - Let There
Be light.
Mrs. Donnan favored with a
medley of hymns and Helen Stanley
read a poem - A Prayer for Later
Years.
Officers for the Society were not
changed, although some of the
collectors were. They will be
wearing badges to identify thcrosel
ves.

Guest speaker was Margaret Hal-
denby, a member of the
Reflexology Association of Canada.
She explained the course that she
has taken and demonstrated various
ways to help keep us active. It was
most interested and the group was
pleased to have her share her
knowledge.
All enjoyed a contest and a poem,
prior to the meeting closing and a
social time.
Lucknow Central Public School's tyke boys team placed second
overall in the Bruce County cross-country meet held recently
near Paisley. The team also brought home the regional banner
earlier In the season. Members of the team include, left to right,

project called "Christmas in the
British Isles" with the Whitechurch
4-H club.
There arc 13 members in the club
and they have been busy making
Victorian lace hearts, Irish scones
and little delights at their first two
meetings.
