Landowners interested in CN property
KINLOSS TOWNSHIP - When
no firm commitment was received
from affected landowners to pur-
chase the 120 acres of old CN
railway track land, council shelved
the matter.
At the Aug, .15 meeting a com-
mittee, comprised of Larry Cowan,
Murray Simpson and Perry Archer,
discussed with council the issue of
obtaining parts of the CN land.
Murray Keith of Archibald Gray &
MacKay was also present. The
committee asked that the township
act as administrator in buying
various parts of the lands and sell
them back to each property owner
who is interested.
The committee •was left with the
responsibility of obtaining a firm
quote from the surveyor, the
lawyer, exact costs and an
agreement which should be signed
by the individual purchasers along
with a deposit.
These agreements must be in
place, along with the deposit, prior
to proceeding. The money would be
