council's consideration, and the one
pictured along with this story is the
design' they decided on: However,
Reeve Stuart Reavie is giving the
public the opportunity to comment -
on the sign. If you have comments,
you may put them in writing and
mail or deliver to the town hall.
Councillor Lynn Peck says the
new signs will be 4' x • 8' in . size.
"Our aim . was to keep the
traditional symbols of the village in
the sign,” 'Mrs. Peck said. -"The
wording is the same; and includes a
metallic gold horseshoe with a
silhouette outline of Donald Dinnie,
similar to the village pins." Plans
are to incorporate the Bruce County
tartan as the background in the sash
and banner. The colors for the rest
of .the sign and background will be
taken from the tartan colors as well.
The back of the signs will carry
the words "Always welcome to Jur
Sepoy Town" with the addition of
"Will ye no come back again?"
Mrs. Peck said the latter phrase was,
included on some older signs at one
time.
The designer of the sign is Finlay
Murials and Signs of Wroxeter.

' Bikes on sidewalks
Currently there is no bylaw dealing with bicycles riding on' the

assist them with this problem and "show somecommon courtegy."
The matter was. brought to council's attention when two residents,
within one .week, called the local newspaper expressing concern over
this practice which can be dangerous to the physically challenged.
The reeve said if the problem► is not rectified, it may be necessary tlo
implement a bylaw. However, as with any bylaw, you need someone to
enforce it.
