Lucknowites enjoy vacations, reunions
Summer is a great time for family
reunions and vacation trips.
Ian, Jean and Ruth Montgomery
and Robert, Margaret, Matthew and
Adam Martin all attended the Hal-
fyard Reunion in Newfoundland,
They met just over 200 of their
mother's relatives. and' enjoyed
seeing the different places where
their mother, Ruth Montgomery had
grown up as well as visiting the
principal of the first school she had
taught in,
The Willits families all spent the
weekend at Grand Bend at Murray
and Jane's cottage.
Austin and Mildred Loree camped
with five other families at Sibbald
Point Provincial Park on Lake Sim-
coe, from Friday until Sunday.
Leonard and Fern MacDonald
spent part of last week with their
son Jim, Karen and their family at
London.
On .Saturday, Don and Gladys
Robertson, Rena McNab, Kathleen,

Miltenburg/Aubin - The stork
came to Ashfield Service Centre
and dropped off a .bundle of joy.
Welcome Paige Mae Miltenburg,
born July 28, 1994, . at A.M.&G.
Hospital, Goderich, weighing 7 lbs.
9 oz. and standing. 21 1/4 inches
tall. Proud and excited grandparents
are Lloyd and Marylou Aubin (3rd
grandchild) and Marie and Ries
Miltenburg (16th grandchild). Great
grandfather is -Dan Hallahan, Blyth,
Smith- Dan and Connie, of Sarnia;
are very.thankful for the safe arrival
of their- son, Joshua- Adrian
Michael, .bom : July 29, 1994

Leonard and Fern MacDonald at-
tended the 50th wedding anniver-
sary celebration of Robbie and
Mabel Robinson, at Walkerton.
Mrs. Robinson. 'was the former
Mabel MacDonald and will be
remembered by many in the area.
On Aug. 8, Grace Gammie in-
vited the ladies of the Lucknow
Presbyterian WMS to a picnic at
the Gammie cottage at Amberley
Beach.
Ken and Elleda Laidlaw and Pat
and Kirsty Bell of Guelph, also
Kirsty's friend Sonje from Germany
enjoyed a holiday last , week . at
Dickie Lake in the Muskoka area.
Sadie MacMillan went to Toledo,
Ohio with Lincoln MacMillan and
spent the week there, returning
home on Saturday by bus.
There were six fables of shoot in
play at the Drop in Centre last
week. Donalda Moffat .and Wes
Young were in high positions, with
Edna Young and Andy Scott in
low, and Harold Gardner. taking the
most shoots.
Joan Robinson and Ruth Mathers
spent a few days in Ottawa last
week attending the 36th i‘nnual
Convention of the United Senior
Citizens of Ontario.
Several resolutions were presented
to both provincial and federal
governments, such as: out of
province 01 -IP, seniors' housing,
long term care, drugs, prescriptions
etc.
While there, the ladies visited
Joan's sister-in-law and niece,
Emily and Shirley Robinson, who
would like to be remembered to
their Lucknow friends.
Doctors will live in Hamilton
Lloyd - Boyle
Dr. Anne Boyle, daughter of Cyril
and Mary Boyle, was united in
marriage July 8, 1994 to Dr.
Stephen Lloyd, son of . Mary
Lloyd and the late Roy Lloyd, at
St. Augustine Roman Catholic
Church. Father Jim Valk, of
Hamilton, officiated, assisted by
Father Harry Reitzel. Maid of
honor was the bride's sister,
Marie Boyle., Dr. Peter Ganz,
friend of the : groom, was
bestmah. Ushers were ' Michael
and Joseph Boyle and Dr. Ashok
Sharma. Organist was Patricia
Stapleton; _ soloists were Tim
Reiman, Cyril Boyle and Patricia
Stapleton. Readers were Sharon
Boyle; sister. -in-law of the bride,
and the groom's two sisters:
Sharon O'Connor .and ' Susan
Lloyd. Altar servers were the
bride's nephews: Patrick and
Brendan Boyle. A reception was
held at the home of the bride's
parents. The couple will reside in
Hamilton;.
Married in London
Ulrich - Hackett
Wayne and Gloria Hackett are
. pleased to announce the marriage
.of their daughter, Vicky to
Thomas, son of Bert and Ute
Ulrich. The outdoor ceremony
ttlok place Aug. 6, 1994, with Rev.
Chris Morgan officiating. Brides-
maids were 'Cathy Gutzman,
cousin of the bride and Allison
Hackett, sister of the bride.
Bestman was Shawn Hackett. A
dinner was held at Benmiller Inn,
followed by a reception at the
home of the bride's parents.
Guests attended from Zurich,
Switzerland; Vancouver.,
Parksville, and Delta B.C., Oak-
ville, Stratford and Lucknow. The
happy couple honeymooned at the
Benmiller Inn and plan a ,trip to
SHilrerland in the near future.
Vicky and'1 homas•are residing in
Kitchener.
SMITH - QUINTON .
Brian Smith and Tracy Quinton
were married on July 23, 1994 at
the Delta London Armouries
Hotel. Mike and Laurie Iverson,
.of London, were the bride and
groom's attendants. Brian is the
eldest son of Stuart and
Bernadette Smith of Goderich,
Tracy is the eldest daughter of
Carole Quinton of Owen Sound.
Following dinner at the Delta
London Armouries, a small.
reception was held at Brian and
Tracy's home. The couple reside
in London.
Honeymooned in the west

Florence Gail Gollan and Robert
Alexander (Sandy) Liddle, of
Lucknow,. were united in • mar-
riage on June 25, 1994, at the
home of the bride's mother. Rev.
Vinda Wilkie, . of Ripley, of-
ficiated.
`ficiated. Gail is the daughter of
Theresa Gollan, Lucknow and the
late (:rant Gollan, Lucknow.
Sandy is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Douglas Liddle. Matron of honor
was Dorothy Barnes, a friend of
the bride with Gloria Symes, the,
bride's sister acting as brides-
maid. Megan Trachsel was junior
bridesmaid and Theresa -Ann
Symes, niece of the bride, was
flowergirl. The groom's brother,
Jamie Liddle • was best man.
Ushers were Cameron (Courtney,,
a friend. of the• groom, and
M11•aster Darryl Gollan, son of the
bride. Master Dwayne Gollan, the
bride's son was the ringbearer.
Gail and Sandy travelled to the
