Alicia Thacker returned home
after a most enjoyable experience at
. Huron Church Camp, Bayfield.
Lucas Thacker recently attended
the 4-H members camp at Pal-
merston.
Southline neighbors welcome Paul
and Sarah Marlin and sons to the
community.. Paul is a blacksmith by
trade.
Congratulations to Rob Bushell,
son of Bob and Louise, on his
recent graduation from Laurentian
University. Rob has taken up
residence in Guelph.
Bessie Maulden visited on Tues-
day with Nina McDonald at Ripley.
Winnifred Percy is spending a
while with Mr. and Mrs. Don
Bertrand and family at Simcoe,
after undergoing eye surgery at
Simcoe Hospital. We wish her a
good recovery. She was later able
to return home.

wedding anniversary on July 30.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rhody were
guests at the wedding of Stephen
and Carola Rhody at Uxbridge on
July 30, with. a dinner and reception
following.
Weekend visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Rhody were Mr. and
Mrs; David Rhody, Kazim and
Kalua from Wakefield, Quebec;
Marilyn Brace of London; Mr, and
Mrs. Ralph Rhody of Hanover;
Meriam Rhody from Pennsylvania
and on Sunday evening a supper
and family gathering was held.
Mrs. George Taylor and her
family narrowly escaped more
serious injuries on Saturday mor-
ning when her car went out of
control on Conc. 12 east of Kin -
lough near her home. They were
taken to the Wingham and District
Hospital for a medical check up and
later released.
Alicia Thacker spent a week in
Hamilton visiting with the Hailey
family.
Mr, and Mrs. Douglas Teixeira of
Vancouver visited with her mother,
Agnes Hodgins, and other family
members here.
The Presbyterian congregation
have their annual dinner and Sun-
day School picnic after the service
on Sunday.
Grove folks thinking about fall
Seems hard to believe that sum-
mer • is winding down. Everyone
I've talked to wonders where July
went. These cool nights have ccr-•
tainly made us think of fall. Those
of us with gardens arc enjoying the
fresh produce.

Kae and Cecil Webster have
returned home after spending. a
couple of weeks in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan, visiting with Kae's
two sisters, Helen Krowc.huck and
Verna McKay, and othcr family.

The trip going out and coming
home bybus was great. The
scenery was wonderful and the
weather perfect.
Six of the relatives met the
Websters at the bus at 5 a.m.
Cecil and Kae spent a wonderful
week at the family cottage situated
on a lake. Kae saw the house and
school in the city where she used to
live and go, to school.
Dorothy Finlayson visited in
Toronto recently. Her daughter
Barbara Rogerson brought her home
on the holiday and the family was
all hometo visit.
Recent visitors with Elmer and
Edna Culbert were Edna's brother,
Alvin Matheson of Colorado and
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Matheson of
Atwood.
The community will be glad to'
know, that Joseph Courtney, son of
Dennis and Shelly, is now at home
and is recovering from his accident.
Joseph tipped his four wheeler on
the second of Huron Township on
his way to his uncle's to help with
the chores. He was in University
Hospital, London, for a few days
with several injuries. The good
thing is 'he was not more seriously
injured. Get well soon, Joe.
