We extend sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van• de Klippe and' family of .Kiricardine, in the death of his father on Thursday, July 21 at the Kincardine and District Hospital. Tom, will be returning to the Kincardine District ,Secondary School next fall to complete his O.A.C. year.• He is a very talented art student who 'has created a' calendar for an accounting firm, designed a menu for. a restaurant, and decorated a window for -a clothing, store. He also enjoys drawing and painting in -his spare time. Tom,plans to pursue, a career in graphic design. Tom's ideal summer: job would -involve art oriented work: However, he is also well qualified . for physical labor. He has• operated a jack hammer for a construction company. ,Tom keeps physically fit by training to race Moto Cross. He excels in this sport and has finished' second, in .a .Canadian National Race. Many students •have found positions through the service and employers were pleased with the service that was provided. As of the end ' of JUnc, 575 students were placed in summer jobs, which is an increase of 48 per cent over last year's numbers. A total of 961 students registered with the centres, which gave each of the centres a vast resource of qualified and hard working students . to call upon when positions were taken. Each of the summer employment officers and supervisors wish to thank all communities for being so supportive this year. It was encouraging for students to realize that their communities supported them and their interests in finding summer employment. Did You Know?
