Lynda Curran and family on the
death of their son and brother,
William Curran who was killed in
a motorcycle mishap on July 24,
near Benmiller.
Congratulations to Bill Ireland,
son of William and Jane Ireland
and to Heidi Fischer, daughter of
Ray and Judy Fischer, who were
married on Saturday at the Sacred
Heart Church, Teeswater.
Joe Courtney and sons Gaty and
Brian and grandsons Michael,
Nicholas and Dale camped at the
Drayton fair grounds last weekend
and took in the second John Deere
Antique Tractor Show "Johnny
Popper Days" sponsored by the
Upper Canada Two Cylinder Club.
All tractors in this club are two
cylinder John Deere tractors with
the first one built in 1916 and the
last in 1960. The Courtney's took
four tractors tothe show. Joe's
John Deere 720, liquid propane;
Gary's John Deere "B"; and Brian's
John Deere 80 and J. D. 50. John
Kuik displayed his J. D. 1927 "D"
and .J. D. 1937 "D" there were
more tractors this year than last
year.
In the tractor pull Gary
Courtney's J. D. "B'" placed first in
his class; John kuik placed second
with his J. D. 1937 in his class and
Brian Courtney place, third with his
J.D. "80" in his class. Jim McKen-
zie brought the weigh scales.
Jennifer and Laura Bere returned
home on Saturday after enjoying a
week's holidays at Camp
Menesutung, Goderich.

Chisholm who won second prize in
the Town and Country Homemakers
"Share the Wealth" draw.
Stag and does were held for
Heather -Ann Stapleton and Rob
Aucion at the Auburn Community
Centre and for Angie O'Neill and
Dave Hallam at the Lucknow Arena
on Saturday.
Congratulations to Victor and Rita
(Wallace) Finnie of .Goderich who
celebrated their 45th anniversary on
Saturday. '
• David, Virginia, ' Colleen and
Mallory. Caesar spent a few days
recently in the Oiillia and
Bracebridge area wherethey en-
joyed visiting Santa's village. They
then travelled on to North Bay and
visited overnight with David's Aunt
Leslee and Uncle Richard Stewart
and cousin Kelly.

who celebrates her eighth birthday
on July 28.
Thousands of people visited
Goderich HaFbor to see "The Tall
Ships", the antique car displays, art
show, etc.
Bridal showers were held for
Heather -Ann Stapleton in St.
Augustine Church hall on Sunday
afternoon, and for Terry Wall, bride
elect of John Van Diepen, at the
Auburn Community Centre, the
same afternoon.
Dungannon native Christine
Stapleton, daughter of Neil and
Nancy Stapleton, who heads the
women's basketball program at the
University of Regina, was recently
installed as head coach of Sas-
katchewan's Junior National Squad.
She and her team Saskatchewan
will compete in the Junior National
under 19 women's basketball .tour-
nament at the University of Water-
loo July 25 - 31.
The tournament features the best
provincial squads from 'across
Canada and last year team Sas-
katchewan placed second overall.
Teatn Saskatchewan will come
into the tournament with a four win,.
one loss record in recent exhibition
play.

MacCrostie, of the St. Helen's area,
on July 22. MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
Ronald was predeceased by his
parents William and Myrtle, and a
brother Hugh.

Fun Days on Aug. 5, 6, and 7 are
out door teen dance (weather per-
mitting), community yard sale, to
be held at your own residence, a •
euchre tournament at the Agricul-
ture Hall, and an evening fair dance
with Tiffms Orchestra will be held.
Margaret (Pentland) Pritchard was -
honored by her family at 'North'
Street United Church on Sunday at
a pre - 90th birthday party actual
date is Aug. 3.

Dungannon Church in recognition
of the Voluntary help received at.
