Last week, Purple Grove bible
study was at the home of Helen
Vander Was. Next week will be at
the home of Alma Gillies.
Glen and Heidi Hodgins of St.
Catherines visited Sunday and part
of Monday with Mr. and Mrs. John
Farrell and girls. •
Jenny Smith was an overnight
visitor with Jenny Farrell last week.

Doug visited Evan and Margaret
Keith in Goderich on Sunday.
Annika Rear travelled to Napanee
to attend Sheep Focus on Sunday.
She placed second in her age group
and fourth overall.

bell, spent the weekend with Kay
Collins, the McGillivray and Collins

munity Centre on Wednesday mor-
ning. Sandra Forster presided for
Gather for 33rd reunion
Members of the Sherwood-Twam-
ley families gathered in Belgrave
for their 33rd annual reunion on
July 17. Six Twamley members
attended for the first time.
A bountiful noon luncheon was
enjoyed, followed by indoor
contests. Prizes went to Charles and
Millie Scovell for coming the
farthest,•Myrtle Johnstone and Mary
Thornton, tied for number of nuts
in a jar, George Twamley whose
birthday was closest to the reunion;
JonathonFinnigan, for the child
with closest birthday, Gordon and
Bernice Johnstone for anniversary
closest to the reunion, Dan and
Anne McInnes, the longest married
couple; George Twamley, the
oldest; Grace R. Finnigan and Katie
Thornton, the two youngest.
Come Celebrate'
The children then enjoyed races
and games outdoors. Karen McIn-
nes, Sara, Laura and Katie
Thornton, Gordon Schill, Jonathon,.
Kevin and Grace Finnigan each
won prizes.
A short talk on her family history
research was given by Myrtle
Johnstone. ' A very interesting
Twamley-Dixon history, compiled
by Myrtle, was for sale as well as
copies of pictures of early ances-
tors. A large display of pictures,
family history notes and crests were
also on display.

Jack and Janet Farrell visited with
Keith and Isabel Carter on
Thursday evening.
Best wishes and congratulations to
Tony Eden and Jewel Stanley who
were married Friday in Ripley.
We're glad to hear that Judy
Thompson is recovering after spen-
ding a few days in hospital with cat
bites.
Purple Grove residents are to be
warned that the stray "tiger" is still
at large.
Get well wishes are also extended
to Donald Gillies, who is a patient
in Kincardine hospital. •
