Manual
promotes
tourism
in Huron
A joint effort by four Huron
County agencies is airned at
promoting the • county's second
largest sector: tourism.
The agencies are designing a
Group Bus Tour Manual to be used
by various tour operators
throughout Ontario and the nor-
theastern United Sates. Accom-
modations, dining, attractions and
special annual events will be high-
lighted in the manual.
The manual will also be used by
the local school board to develop
educational trips to Huron County
sites of interest.
The manual will also help
promote Huron County's largest
industrial sector, agriculture. Agri -
Tourism is designed to promote
agriculture and its related industries
to students, seniors, urban and
international visitors who may not
have had the opportunity to view
agricultural operations in a realistic
environment.
The four involved Huron County
agencies 'are: board of education,
Community Futures Corporation,
planning and development, and the
tourism association.
Anyone who wants to be in the
manual and can accommodate
groups in the tourism business or a
related industry should call Tracey
Fischer at 527=0305 or Mike Pullen
at 524-2188.
