Trinity (formerly known as Hack-
ett's 1901 - 1969) was established
on March 28, 1969, when a
congregational meeting was held
between Blake's, Hackett's and
Zion. The majority voted to es-
tablish a new congregation to be
based at Hackett's Church. Trinity
was chosen ' for the new name,
meaning an amalgamation of the
three churches.
At that time Trinity became a
two-point charge with Calvin
United Church, St. Helen's. Further
changes occurred in the coming
years when the Dungannon Union
Pastoral Charge was formed. In this
new union - Trinity, Donnybrook,
Nile and Dungannon in 1985 -
became a four -point charge.
The three former churches (Zion,
Blake's and St. Helen's) were torn
down.
