Business expands to two locations by Pat Livingston Business has expanded so much in the last five years that a Whitechurch couple found it neces- sary to open a second location. Greg (also known as Stu) and Hetty Stuart, owners of Stu's Stove Shoppes and Chimney Sweeps Inc. Whitechurch, held the grand opening of their new location at Point Clark on Saturday. The area expanded in volume to where two to three days work for service, sweeping chimneys and new installations were being spent in the Point Clark area, says Greg. "A lot of people are switching to propane." "People have treated us well," says Hetty, "but we walked before we ran," referring to their additional location. Even though the economy wasn't strong, they worked hard and dedicated themselves to' buil- ding up the business. Their grand opening specials were patterned after "the early bird gets the worm" as various reductions in price were offered during the early morning hours. "Greg's a very unique person," says Hetty. The Point Clark location currently has eight operative gas units on display, along with two woodstoves, and will carry a full line of acces- sories. Three of the four on staff are propane licensed, and Greg is a certified wood technician and chim- ney sweep.
