Mr. and Mrs. Ted Nelson stopped in for a short visit. Gerald Rhody returned home from the Kincardine and District hospital , where he underwent surgery. We send our best get' well wishes. The Holyrood Women's Institute catered to the Lions Club dinner on Monday evening . at the Lucknow Community Centre. Visitors with Edna and May -Boyle were Ellwood Hodgins, of Belmont and Marjorie Robb of Holyrood. Agnes Hodgins, Volaine Hodgins and Michele Barr and Tammara Hodgins went to Toronto and visited with Lenore Sutherland. Jean Phillips returned home to Fonthill after visiting with her sister Bessie Maulden, • The Anglican Church women met least Thursday afternoon at the home of Irma Wall. The theme was "The family" and the guest speaker talked on Sleeping children around the World which comprises Third World children and 26 countries where there is great need. They decided to send three bed kits. Mary Haldenby was program convener and the theme was "Mother" and Carol Cooper was in charge of that part and had many references of mothers in the Bible. Carol also sang two solos. Mrs. Haldenby read "They Grow So Fast" and For You Mom" and also gave the courtesies. Opal Dore read Mother's Day Bouquet. Lynda Thacker read Mo'ther's Day, Maureen Collins' readings were My Mother's Medicine Cabinet, Memories of Mother and a humorous one Go Wash Your Face. Ten ladies were in attendance at the meeting conducted by Lois Gobdhue, vice president. Two .delegates will attending the district annual being held in Ripley. The pot luck program was under the guidance of Noma Campbell and Grace Gibson, who had served dessert at the beginning of the meeting. Contributions included: A Tribute to Grandma by Celia Aitchison; The Daffodils by Alice Taylor; Canadian Heritage by Tillie Wilson, The Song of Summer by Rita Gil- more; An Old Farm House . by Bernadean Ritchie; a comical recipe for French toast by Lois Goodhue; a golfing story by Susan McNaughton; piano selections by Dorothy Brown; Three Old Fashioned Loves by Grace 'Qibson; and My Dear Son by Noma Campbell. 4.H NEWS The Trinity Photoflasher's fourth meeting was held on May 11 at Brookside Public School. They played a game of floor hockey in the gym, where some took action photos. After the game the meeting concluded at Joanne Menary's house. The next meeting will be at Janet Caesar's on May 18.
