Sharon MacDougall was hostess
for the annual meeting of the Kin -s
loss Kairshea Institute on Apr. 21.
The ladies enjoyed a bag lunch with
relishes, dessert, tea and coffee
served by Sharon and Ann Mac-
Dougall.
Alice Ritchie opened the meeting
with a poem, "What is Spring?".
Rollcall was answered by the
payment of fees by 16 members.
Delegates were. appointed to at-
tend the district annual meeting
May 17 in Ripley. Pufple Grove
Institute is the host.
A committee was formed to look
after the booth and the evening
meal at the Craft Festival.
Officers were, installed by
Maimie Roulston, for 1994-95
include: past president, Maimie
Roulston; president, Alice. Ritchie;
first vice, June Gilchrist; secretary,
Una Matthews; treasurer, Marion
McKinnon with Ruth Langen as
assistant; district director, Maimie
Roulston; program coordinator,
Muriel McKenzie; public relations,
Allen Bradley .with Elsie Houston
as assistant; branch directors,
Marion McKinnon, Ruth Langen;
Alice Doelman; auditors, Allene
Bradley and Mary Lavis; sunshine
committee, Sharon MacDougall,
Donna McBride; pianist, Elsie
Houston and Vera Schmidt.
The standing committee con-
veners are: Irene Haldenby for
agriculture; June Gilchrist for.
Canadian Industries and inter=
national affairs; Mary Lavis for
citizenship and legislation; Ruth
Langer for family and consumer
affairs; Donna McBride for
education and cultural activities,
and Betty Finlayson for resolutions.

The Bruce. Presbyterial United
Church Women held their first
meeting for this year at Palmerston
United Church, under the leadership
of the new president, Wilda
Thomspon.
Mrs. I, Thompson offered the
opening worship which was centred
on. the theme "Springtime", noting
hat spring is a reminder of the gift
Of life, and the miracle of God's'
handiwork is within humankind.
She related her message to the
Easter Lily. Scripture reading by
Janet Field was from Romans 6: 1 -
11.
Through the medium of slides, the
group ' travelled to "The 'Holy
Land", seeing such landmarks as
Mount Sinai, the Burning Bush, the
Upper Room, and the Garden of
Gethsemane. This special presen-
tation was given by •Olive Hanna,
who was recently on a trip to Egypt
and Israel. We sincerely thank her!

in this way. I
The Divisions met to work on
plans for the year. The. Stewardship
Division will lead the next meeting, r
May 9, at Elmwood United Church
when special guest Bill Steadman
will speak on Mission and pre -
authorized remittances. Plans are
also utlderway fbr the annual retreat
day, June 6, at the Saugeen Am-
phitheater. A committee' was set up
to work on details for this event.
The Bervie-Kinloss UCW led the
closing worship on the theme
"There is Victory in the Resurrec-
tion", with scripture passage from
Luke 24: 13 - 25, singing and
prayer.
Kinsmen and Kinettes
mark 20 years service
Saturday evening was a special night for these two former
Kinsmen and a current Kinette. During the 20th anniversary
celebrations of the Lucknow and District Kinsmen and Kinettes,
Rod McDonagh (left) and Greg Blake (right) were presented with
Life Achievement Awards. Joanne McDonagh was a recipient of
