At the request of the accused the bail hearing was. adjourned until Apr. 25. Michael Campbell, who was denied bail and remanded in custody last week, is scheduled to appear in Wingham provincial court today (Wednesday). . The three men are charged in connection” with a Jan. 21 rob- bery at the Bob Kats Gas Bar, in Wingham during which the owner was beaten. Miscellaneous The municipality will grant the sum of $500 to the North Huron Special Transit Corporation, known as Wheels Away, for the year 1994. ' Ontario Hydro is no longer car- rying out maintenance on the street , lights in Auburn and Dungannon. Council voted in favor of hiring Les Bernard, of Walton, to take over the two jobs at a cost of $65 per hour for the truck and one man, with materials to be an additional cost. The Dungannon Recreation Board has been ordered to remove the outdoor privy at the Ball Park. The boardrequested financial support to rent a portable toilet, for ap- proximately five months during the summer from Bluewater Sanitation, at is cost of $75 per month, plus tax. The majority of council voted in favor of a motion to contribute an amount towards that rental, not to exceed one-half the total annual • COst. Montgomerys hit again; steal car, Jays tickets A 1989 Ford Taurus' and $4,100 worth of Blue Jays tickets were reported stolen from Montgomery Motors, Lucknow, on Apr. 14. Sometime overnight, a door was pried open and the building was entered. A cash register, where car keys were kept,' was opened and the $12,000 car was taken along with a set of license plates. Also, some gas was siphoned from a vehicle on the property. An. 18 -year-old RR 1, Lucknow youth was charged with drinking under age after passing throdgh an Apr. 15 RIDE check in Kinloss Town- ship. . Also charged in the township was a 20 -year-old Lucknow man. A part -bottle of whisky and 10 bottles of beer were seized from his vehicle and he was given a 12 -hour suspension after issuing a "warn" on a roadside screening test. A 26 -year-old Ripley area man was given a 12 -hour suspension after passing through a RIDE check on Concession 4 in Huron Township on Apr. 16. Also in the township, a 42 - year -old Lucknow man was given a 12 -hour suspension after OPP came across his vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road. The driver was found0to have been drinking and was given a&roadside screening test. • A driver didn't' stop for a RIDE check on County Road 23 in Kincardine Township on Apr. 16 at 1:47 a.m. OPP pursued and the driver stopped. As 4 result, a 24 -year-old Cambridge man was charged with impaired driving and given a 12 -hour suspension. Also at the RIDE check, a minor was charged with being under 19 and having liquor. Two youngoffenders were charged with drinking under age. They were seen by an officer on patrol, wallcing down Boiler Beach Road, with beer in their hands. A third youth had a backpack, dropped it and fled. He was not apprehended but police seized nine bottles of beer from the pack. A 41 -year-old Kincardine man was charged with driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol .per 100 ml of blood on Apr..17. At 12:34 a.m. an OPP officer on Kincardine Avenue observed a car being driven erratically. The driver was stopped; failed a roadside screening test and a subsequent breathalyser test. A 32 -year-old Paisley woman was taken to a Southampton hospital by ambulance after an Apr. 11 accident in Bruce Town- ship. Sandra Hodge was treated for minor injuries after her car was struck by another vehicle, driven.. by Cornelia Blom, 27, of Wingham. Blom was travelling west on County Road 20 and was turning onto Sideroad 30 when she struck the Hodge vehicle.
