Rachael weighed in at 8 lbs. 7 oz. Proud parents are Jim and Sharon, of R.R. 7, Lucknow. Grandparents are Alex and Beatrice Nivins, and Ken 'and Ruth Alton. Rachael's great grandmothers are Jessie Alton and Alice Procter. Morrison - Arnold and Sharon of R.R. 3, Wingham are delighted to welcome their daughter, Alisha Marie, born Feb. 24, 1994, at Win- gham and District Hospital, weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz. She is a wee sister for Lisa, Ashley, Jonathan and David, and a granddaughter for Dorothy Graf and Marjorie Mor- rison. OBITUARIES Natalie Van Osch Natalie Bridget Van Osch, of R.R. 3, Goderich, died at home on Feb.. 16, 1994. She was seven days old. Natalie was born in Goderich on Feb. 9, 1994, to Bernie and Bridget (Dalton) Van Osch, both of whom survive her. She is survived by brothers and sisters Luke, Mark, Shawn, Tessie and Anna, all at home. Also surviving are grandparents Clarice Dalton, and William and Anne Van Osch, all of Ashfield Township. •. Natalie was predeceased by laer grandfather, Mark Dalton. Mass of the Angels was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Kingsbridge. Rev. Harry Reitzel officiated. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. Florence Cecilia McQuillan 1904 - 1994 - Florence Cecilia McQuillan,: of Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home, formerly of R.R. 1, Lucknow, died. at the Wingham and District Hospital on Feb. 20, 1994. She was 89 years old. Mrs. McQuillan was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Lucknow. The former Florence McKinnon was born on May 15, 1904, in Culross Township, Bruce County. She was a daughter of the late John and Annie (Ernest) McKinnon. Mrs. McQuillan is survived by her husband Wilfred, of R.R.- 1, Lucknow and four children Flora and Joe Murphy of Stratford, Ar- chie and Muriel McQuillan . of Ottawa, Sheila McQuillan of. Lon- don, and Sandy and Luann McQuil- lan of Stratford. She is also survived' by 10 grandchildren - Colleen and her husband Brad Miller, of London, Diane Murphy of London, Shawn Murphy of Stratford, Jim McQuil- lan of Kingston, Mary McQuillan of London, Dan McQuillan of London, Ian McQuillan of Ottawa, Rob McQuillan of Stratford, . James McQuillan of Stratford and Jennifer McQuillan of Stratford. Mrs. McQuillan was predeceased by sisters and brothers Annie and Nellie McKinnon, Archie, John and James McKinnon. The MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, was in ,charge of funeral arrangements. A private family mass was held at St. Mary's Rotnan Catholic Church, Lucknow on Feb. 24, with Father Harry Reitzel officiating, assisted by Doug Stevers. Organist was Mary Anne Hogan. Pallbearers were Brad Miller, Shawn Murphy, Rob McQuillan, and James McQuillan. Sympathy is extended to Wilfred McQuillan and family in the pas- sing of Mrs. McQuillan in Win- ghan•t Hospital last week. Visitors to the Drop in Centre on Friday enjoyed a pot luck dinner prior to playing shoot. High winners were 'Edna Young and Evelyn Phillips who tied, and Dave Swan for the men. Low spots, went to Rita Gilmore and Jim Er- rington. Wilbur Brown took the most shoots. At the St. Helen's WI shoot party last week, seven tables .were in play. High spots went to Donalda Mof- fat and Ross Errington, while Elaine Errington and Joe Courtney captured the low positions. Ross Taylor won the most shoots. Three Lucknow students were winners in the Royal Canadian Legion's • Zone Q-1 Posters, Poems and Essay( contest. Receiving their awards are Kiel Parrish, first for black and white poster, and, Laura Sande, third for colored poster. Ellen Husk, who was absent placed third In the essay division for Grades 4,5 and 6. I A small celebration is planned at a Wingham •restaurant -with his family, but the birthday is something he'd rather not make 'a big deal of. Born in England on March 4, 1904, Harry came to Canada with his family in the spring of 1912: He said he remembers that because it was the same year the. Titanic went down. "We saw a Jot of icebergs, but none hit our boat," he said. He grew up in the St. Helen's area and following school spent a few years in 'Alberta and Sas- katchewan mining coal. He returned to this area to start farming in South Kinloss Township. Of the 13 in the family, only he and one brother from London are still alive. On September 8, Harry and his wife Mary will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. In addition, the couple will celebrate their 35th anniversary of moving into Luck - now. Bere • Freel Tracey 'Anne Freel and James( ,William Bere were united in marriage Oct. 9, 1993, in the Chapel of Hope, London, with R v. Wideman officiating. Tracey is the daughter of Merle and Larry Freel, of Londqn. Jamie is the son of Mary Bere, Goderich, and the late Orland Bere. Matron of honor was Leisa Forbes . of Halifax, friend of the bride. Bridesmaid tvas Leeza Gallagher, friend of the bride. Junior brides- maids were nieces of the groom, Jennifer and Laura Bete. David Bere, brother of the groom, was best man. The bride's brother, Shawn Freel, was usher. Brent and Sean Johnstone, nephews of the bride • were junior ushers. Dwight Aldham of Brampton, brother-in-law of the groom was the organist. A reception and dinner was held at Huron House Banquet Hall, London, following the ceremony. The newlyweds honeymooned at Myrtle Beach and other points in the. Eastern United States, also visiting the groom's sister, Kate and family in Durham, North Carolina.
