The Lucknow Women's Institute
held a very successful. Valentine
Euchre on Mon. Feb. 14th with
enough people, wanting to get away
from the boredom of winter, to fill
ten tables. High lady was Edna
Young and high man Gordon
Johnstone. The low lady was Anne
Anderson and low man-Qordon
Brooks. Jean Whitby had the most
lone hands.
Congratulations go out this week
to Sadie Hamilton of Pinecrest
Manor who will be celebrating her
93rd birthday on Thurs., Feb. 24th.

Recent revisions to - field staff
responsibilities in the Agriculture
and Rural . Division will bring
specialized information and resour-
ces closer to clients. These changes
will allow staff to focus their efforts
on implementing the division
priorities of Competitive Agricul-
ture, Environmental Sustainability
and Rural Community Develop-
ment.
The local field office in Walker-
ton will continue to serve asthe
primary source of information for
clients. Questions related to agricul-
ture production and management
and ministry programs can be
directed to the Agriculture
Representative, Don Agar. New
positions of commodity advisor
have been created to increase the
level of service in technology
transfer and farm , management
skills.
The commodity advisors serving
clients in the Bruce County area
include Cheryl Russwurm, Beef
Advisor and Keith Reid, Soil and
Crop Advisor. Other commodity
advisors serving Bruce county are
Harry Harricharan, Dairy Advisor
and Wayne Gayman, Swine Ad-
visor, both located in Markdale and
Ken Wilson, Horticultural Advisor
in. Clarksburg. In addition,
specialized information regarding
in-depth 'management of the, farm
business, will be provided by Colin
4eesor and Pat Kuntz, Business
Management Advisors.
Rural community clients,
including' municipalities, farm and
nonfarm organizations, will benefit
from the Ministry's increased focus
on rural community development.
Sharon Gardiner, Rural Community
Advisor, will be available to assist
communities with their local'.
initiatives, including advice and
