I don't think too many were sad
to see the warm weather, the
wonderful sunshine, and all the
snowbanks melting away. Certainly
makes us think that spring isn't too
far away.
With all the great roads folks
went visiting far and wide. Wilda
and Harvey Thompson were dinner
guests of Donna and Fred Young of
Dungannon. Marjorie Thompson
and Mary Anne Kukoly visited with
a former Purple Grover Helen
Smith of London on the weekend.
Also travelling were Heather and
Sam Finnie who attended a couples
retreat in Niagara Falls. While they
were away Grandma and Grandpa
Finnie from Dunville stayed with
the Finnie Children,
Gabrielle Finnie enjoyed a
birthday dinner on Sunday with. her
two set,of grandparents the Finnies
and Irene and Francis Boyle.
PURPLE GROVE

and Don Robertson of Lucknow.
Birthday greetings are extended to
the Robertsons on the ' receni
birthdays.
It is good t0 see Edna Fowler
home from the hospital. Our sin-
cere get well greetings are sent to
Ken Robertson another former
Purple Grover who was in hospital
in London but is home fora 'while
now.
I understand that everyone
enjoyed the pot luck dinner at
Purple Grove on Saturday evening.
As usual no one went home hungry.
And wasn't it a great weekend for
in a rural community where folks
work together to make a better
community? I know I sure ap-
preciate it. .
Marjorie Thompson and Florence
Kirkpatrick visited Eva and Bert
Nicholson of Kincardine last
Thursday.
Audrey Smith -spent the evening
with Dorothy MacLeod ofncar-
dine before leaving for herb. y trip
to London on Saturday. '
Other travellers were Margie and
Shanna Lochhead of Corbeil. They
visited• with her mother Katherine
Collins and families in our area.
Marjorie and Aurel. Armstrong
visited with Eileen Nesbeu of
Huron Villa during the week.
The planning group is busy working
on the meal that will be served at
the Purple Grove Centre Mar. 5.
We hope .you will set that date
the Carnival. Isn't is great to live aside.
