Summer of- ficially ended August 27, says Mery Erb, who writes this month about problems in the corn fields. Since the end of August, cer- tainly, few days have seen the sun, which is a way of leading in- to another of our stories this month: the crop insurance pro- gram and proposals for its refor- mation. Alice Gibb spoke to farmers and crop insurance of- ficials and in this issue reports on their concerns and opinions. Our Minister of Agriculture is review- ing the program, and changes may be announced shortly. Out of the ashes comes change and growth.
