BROCCOLI, CAULIFLOWER,
and ONION CASSEROLE
3 c. chopped frozen broccoli
(2-10 oz. pkgs.)
1 onion, chopped
1 head cauliflower, chopped
11/2 T. butter
1' T. flour
'/4 c. chopped almonds
'A tsp. MSG
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 can mush. soup
+ '/z can milk
1/4 C. shredded cheese
c. sherry (opt.)
Method:
Put vegetables in greased casse-
role. Make sauce by blending but-
ter, flour and stirring in soup,
milk, cheese, almonds, MSG,
sherry and mushrooms until partly
thickened and nearly boiling. Pour
evenly over vegetables. Sprinkle
top with additional chopped
almonds or crumb topping. May
be cooked and stored in fridge un-
til 1 hour before mealtime. Bake at
350° for 1 hr. if refrigerated or 45
min. if baked immediately. Serves
