Automatic Micro -Mist Sprayers
are available in skid, trailer and
three point models. Ideal for con-
trol of weeds, brush and insects in
fields, orchards and fruit and
vegetable areas as well as insects,
mosquitos and flies in parks and
livestock operations. The micro -
mist sprayer operates up to 12
miles per hour. The micro -mist
provides more effective coverage,
penetrating under foliage while us-
ing less water and chemical than
nozzle type sprayers.

Intent to purchase
The Du Pont Company an-
nounced the signing of a letter of
intent to purchase the assets of
Shell Oil Company's wholly owned
U.S. subsidiary, Shell Agricultural
Chemical Company.
Terms of the pending acquisi-
tion, which would approximately
double Du Pont's domestic crop
protection business, were not
disclosed. The transaction is sub-
ject to developing and signing a
definitive agreement.
