WHAT'S NEW?
Checks tire pressure
Canadian car and Tight pick-up
truck owners can now receive the
benefits of Tire Pressure Con-
trollers, a new product in this
country. They were recently
developed in Switzerland and are
very popular there.
Tire Pressure Controllers are
small, capsule -like devices that
screw onto the valve of all four
wheels of a vehicle. They provide
the opportunity for a visual check
of tire pressure. At night, pressure
can be checked by touch rather
than by sight. This new product
works on all tires with pressure
between 15 and 35 pounds.
They are easy to monitor and
easy to install and provide a
number of benefits including:
• less wear on tires
• increased road safety for you
and your family
• time saving and convenience in
checking tire pressure
• savings on gasoline.
The Tire Pressure Controllers
remain on the vehicle all year
round and are designed not to
freeze-up during winter. The new
product is now available to
retailers in Canada. For more in-
formation, contact Hans Mayer

Time release bolus
A new Paratect* time release
bolus, is a breakthrough in the
control of worm infestation in
dairy heifers. Administered once in
the spring before turnout, Paratect
remains securely and safely in the
heifer's stomach and slowly and
continuously releases medication
into the heifer's digestive system.
Conventional treatments only
kill worms on the day the animals
are treated — and thus heifers will
ultimately reinfect the pasture and
themselves throughout the grazing
season.
With the introduction of
Paratect — which kills worms and
larvae within the heifer all day,
every day over the critical grazing
period — the cycle of recontamina-
tion is stopped. The result is that
heifers look better, are healthier
and thus reach breeding weight
faster.
