"Whereas (Alachlor) LASSO registration
is subject to a review by a Federal Hear-
ing Board and
Whereas Alachlor has been a major
herbicide for application on corn, soy-
beans, and white beans by many farmers
in Ontario and
Whereas the removal of Alachlor without
fair hearing may jeopardize the registra-
tion status of current and future
chemicals that farmers are now using.
Be it Resolved that OFA make represen-
tation to the Federal Hearing Board
regarding the LASSO review."
"EDUCATION" Committee new this year!
The Huron County Federation of Agriculture has formed a new committee for the upcoming
year, an Education Committee. This committee is headed by Second -vice President Brenda
McIntosh. Members on the committee are:

— to teach Farm Safety to farm children, as well as to `visiting children' to farms
