The poor people would be loved and people would bring them into their houses and give them clothes and food. Almost every city I go to there are people sleeping on the streets and warming themselves up by a garbage can. Rich people walk by them and make it look like they are nothing. What if you had to sleep in the streets and rich people walked by you? How would you feel? 1 would be so happy and every poor person would be happy as well if that wish came true. ' Denise Kikkert • Gr. 8, LDCS. If I had one wish for Christmas it would be my own room. So whenever I'm doing my homework nobody would bug me. And my room would almost always be neat. If I had my own room I wouldn't have to clean up after my sister, and my sisters wouldn't get into my stuff. That is why I want or should say, would like to have my own room. April Numan Gr. 7, LDCS. If I had one wish for Christmas I would wish for nothing. I have everything I want and need nothing more. I have a loving 'family, a beautiful home, friends, a Christian education and Jesus in my heart which is most important. I am completely happy with everything I have! Yolanda Ritsema Gr. 7, LDCS. Thank you ' for i 1 your patronage• Il , If I had one wish for Christmas it would be to have world peace. For there to be no more wars, every country to be atdpeace with all the other countries. I would wish that everybody would be friends with everybody else, so that there would be no racism, and everybody would like everybody else no matter what size, shape, or color they are.. If everybody was nice to the animals and other people than I believe that we would have a per- fect world. Nobody would have to worry about going out after dark, because there would be no mur- derers, or kidnappers, and the only reason we would need policemen would be for people who were speeding. Nobody would be rich and nobody would be poor, and everybody would have enough food to eat so they wouldn't be sick. Our world has a lot of problems, and someday I hope my wish will come true. Alicia Potter Gr. 7, LDCS. If I had one wish for Christmas it would be to make my grandma alive so I could have fun with her again. I remember when we. had our family Christmas party at my aunt's and grandma and I sang Christmas carols while everyone else listened. Another time when I was at her house we talked about all the problems in the world and how we could fix them. Then she died. She died of cancer, and the problem was she was closer to me then my parents. I was so angry at myself for not going to her funeral. If there ever would be a time that I stop mourning for her, it would be when I was in heaven with her forever. Heather Lootsma Gr. 7, LDCS.. If I had one wish...Hope a simple, four letter word. But that's my wish for Christmas. Hope. So many people have lost it, few have it. I know many people who could use it...Hope...someone once said "If you've lost hope, you've lost everything"... Hope... Hope is something that comes and goes, some have it strong, in some it's only a glimmer. But it's there. My wish would be for everyone to have hope, and to have it strong. Hope for food, for peace, for love, for hope. Hope is a four letter word, but -its . meaning is so complicated, no one can describe it. Bethany Luchies Gr. 8, LDCS. If I had one wish for Christmas it would be that everyone would be Christians. If everyone was a Chris- tian there would be no wars, fights, hate because it would be filled with love, sharing, kindness and everything else. Stephanie Broer Gr. 8, LDCS. If I had one wish for Christmas it would be that friends could never ever fight, or get mad at each other for mistakes they've done uninten- tionally. I mean, sometimes they don't even mean what they say, or do, or write. I wish they could just go out and have fun and not have nay worries about something else happening at school. Having no problems with your friends lets you sleep at night, and then at school next day your teacher's don't yell at you and say you "socialize" too much. While I', writing this I feel happy, have slept good, and have not "socialized" too much today. But hey, that's life, and that's just the way it is.
