by Mike Goetz
The October/November 'lien's
squash ladder has been completed.
Tom Pegg moved into top place

cumulating 14 points in section one.
Ian Montgomery and Luis Posadas
retain second and third positions
with 13 points.
Moving up from section two are
John Mayer with 20 points, and Ian
Hackett with 10 points. Mayer won
all four matches, three games
straight, resulting in his maximum
score of 20 points.
Mike Goetz accumulated. six
points in section one, and moves
down to top spot in section two.
John Hamilton had one point in
section one, and moves down into
second position in section two.
Atoms were

weekend
The Atom team met up with a
strong Clifford team in the first
game of the Wingham Silver Stick
tournament. The Lucknow team
was out -played, out -shot and out-
scored for all of the game.
Jordan Hamilton managed to rob
their goalie of a shut -out when he
scored on a pass from Scott Austin.
Final score 10 to 1 for Clifford.
Lucknow vs Blyth
The Lucknow and Blyth teams
were evenly matched as the 3 - 3
score showed during Saturday
morning's game. It was tie-up
hockey. As each team scored ,the
.other team would match it. -
Goals for Lucknow were off the
sticks of Russ Mann; Steve Hare
and Chris Hackett. Assists went to
Jordan Hamilton, Chris Wainwright,
Hackett, Jason Pentland and .Hare.
Lucknow vs Belmore
In Belmore Saturday afternoon,

Teeswatet taking home a 3 2 win.
Jordan Hamilton scored Luck-
now's first goal assisted by the
Austin brothers - Jeremy and Scott.
Late in the game, Chris Wainwright
let a long shot fly that Paddy Lyon
managed to tip intothe net.
BOWLING
Mark Billington retains third
position in section two with a total
of eight points. Newcomers to
section two .filling the last two spots
are Tim Kropf and Mike Scott.
George Brophy accumulated
seven points in section two, and
moves down to the top spot in
section three, followed by Robert
Kay. Newcomers filling the other
spots in section three are Mark
Stever, Kirk Livingston and Jason
Cox.
Section four has been started with
newcomers Don Andrew and Ray
Hildebrand. Men's squash
bookings are starting to pick up,
with seven new players being added
to the ladder.
Unfortunately very little interest
has been shown in the women's
ladder, and as a result, it will be
discontinued.
Anyone interested in joining the
ladder may do so by putting their
name and phone number on the
vacant positions on the ladder
schedule which is posted on the
bulletin board in the squash court
area.
The Lucknow Squash Club's
primary goal for 1994 is to
implement and promote a squash
program for young people.
Promotions will include initial
training sessions on squash basics,
safety and rules, as well as the
implementation of a squash ladder
for students.
Any interested students or
parents are encouraged to contact
John Mayer at 528-3130, or Mike
Goetz at 528-2319.

were defeated 5 to 0.

board in the third period.
Novice 'B' lose close one
to Southampton on Saturday
In Novice "B" exhibition play on
Saturday, the local team lost a close
one .allowing the visitors to go
home with a 3 - 2 win.
The teams were evenly matched
and it wasn't until early in the
second period that Lucknow's Shea
Dickie lit up the scoreboard with a
shot behind the Southampton goalie.
Assisting from the corner were
Nigel Black and Sandy Loughced.
The defence did a good job of
keeping the play up the boards and
the offence was busy backchecking.
With Billy Johnston standing his
ground in net, it wasn't until late in,
the second that Southampton tied
the game.
In the third, Mark Hackett made
good on a rebound from a shot set
up by Jeff McNee and Tyler Hamil-
ton. The pace quickened and
Southampton came right back
within a minute to tie it up again.
With two minutes left, Lucknow
took a penalty and Southmapton
make good on the man advantage to
pull ahead.
Try as they might, even with an
extra attacker in the dying
moments, Lucknow ran out of time.

now 2.
