Lucknow bear takes off
for unplanned holiday
Travellers on Huron County Road # 1 reported seeing a bear hitch-
hiking south on Saturday night. When questioned as to his destination
he replied that he was taking an unscheduled holiday from the Mayfair
Restaurant, Lucknow.
Rumor has it that the bear; whose name is unknown, but who is
affectionately called "Teddy", was unhappy with the winter hibernation
syndrome. He apparently thought a few days in a warmer climate in the
south was just what the "manager" would order.
"Teddy" said he would make regular weather reports, via bear paw
transmissions, as he makes his way south. He wanted everyone to know
he is safe and in good shape, saying, "Not to worry."
