This Friday night, Nov. 26, there
will be a short ceremony at the
Kinsmen Park, Dungannon at 7
p.m. for families and friends of
those parents who had children die.
There will be a "Angel" tree
planted prior to Friday and this will
be used in a symbolic lighting
representing each child in the sur-
rounding community who has died.
As this is a first, we do not know
all the parents names, so please
contact Debbie Bauer at 529-7820
or 529-7667 by Thursday if you
wish to honor the memory of your
child.
Local veteran Harvey Culbert
spoke to the Kingsbridge Brownies
on Armistice Day, Nov. 11 telling
them about his service in the war.
Harvey joined the Royal Canadian
Regiment in London in June 1940•
and transferred in late 1940 to the
Perth Regiment. 1 -le served in Italy
and all of North East Europe. He
was in the service for 51/2 years.
The Brownies were delighted to.
meet a war veteran. Harvey
presented each child with a
Canadian Flag lapel pin. Harvey has
gone back to Holland in 1985 and
to Italy in 1991.
The first snowfall of this season
came on Saturday, Nov. 20 making
easy sledding for Santa Claus to
make the Santa Claus' parade in
Goderich. It also helped put
everyone in a jolly Christmas
mood, •
Brett Courtney, son of Gary and
Chris Courtney, of Blyth spent a
few days last week with his
• grandpa and grandma, Joe and
Teresa Courtney.
Children at Dungannon Play
School made decorated Santa
Clauses with coat hangers, nylons
and cotton balls; a lovely Christmas
ornament for their homes.
Jeffery Austin, of Pickering,
visited recently with his parents
Eldon and Mary Austin and family,
the occasion being Mary's birthday.
Terry Austin returned to Pickering
with his dad for a few holidays.
Eric. and Anna Courtney and
daughter Sarah, of Burlington, spent
the weekend with his parents, Joe
and Teresa Courtney. Teresa's
birthday was celebrated.
Dungannon Seniors enjoyed a pot
luck supper on Wednesday evening,
Nov. 17, with an attendance of 40.
Brian Elmslie was a guest and
spoke briefly on financial affairs.
The card party followed with 13
tables in play. Joe and Teresa
Courtney took home top honors, as
well as Mabel Lamont and Harold
Elliott.
1994 memberships may be ob-
tained through Beth Dickson,
Aileen Trommer or Margaret Er-
rington.
' Rev. Jim Parker, Dresden,
provided the Sunday morning wor-
ship service at Dungannon and
Donnybrook Churches.
Bernice Glenn held. a Tupperware
tax free Friday at her home on
Friday, Nov. 19. Microwave
demonstrations were given at 1 and
3 p.m. Lucky draws were held.
A wedding ring was Lost on Wed-
nesday evening perhaps at the
Senior Citizen's Centre. As the
wedding anniversary is this week.

Dungannon United Church
women met in the church on Tues-
day Nov. 16, with 10 ladies
repeating Christs' Call to Worship.
Joan Dougherty and- Beth Rut-
ledge were in charge of the
Remembrance Day Service, with
appropriate readings.
Articles of interest were the "true-
to-life experiences of a war bride
coming from abroad to her new life
in Canada. Also a young lad, in the
Armed Forces sailingon the Queen
Elizabeth for unkno+n parts of the
world. •
Scripture readings were presented
by Belle Mole and closing prayer
by Jean Errington.
A Mission Outreach video- New
Heart and New Spirit was viewed -
before and during refreshments
served by Bernice Henry and Don-
na Young.

Kinlough couple returns from trip
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rhody
returned home after visiting with
relatives at Pennsylvania.
Mr. and Mrs. Scott Walsh of
Kincardine were dinner guests at
the Myerscough home one.evening
this week.'
Pastor and Mrs. Robert Donnan
and Melinda spent a few days in
Toronto.
Agnes Hodgins was a recent
visitor with relatives at Toronto.
Bessie Maulden spent the past
three weeks with her sister Jean
Phillips, at Fonthill.
Kay Thacker, Mr. and Mrs. Eric
Thacker and family spent last Sun-
day in Toronto.

Con. 10 were recent visitors with
Edna and May Boyle.
We extend sympathy to the
family and relatives of the late
Leonard Elmes who passed away
suddenly: Mrs. Elmes and Volaine
Hodgins are sisters.

recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Morley Bushell, of Wingham.

Township.
The families of the late Roy and
Hannah Haldenby joined together at
the Kinloss Community Centre for
their annual pre -Christmas dinner
on Saturday. Forty-six sat down and
enjoyed a bountiful meal, visiting
and games. The weather didn't stop
people from travelling many' miles
to be together.
Families from here attended the
Christmas concert at Kincardine
District High School put on by the
band.

The Anglican Church Women
held their November meeting on
Thursday afternoon at the home of
'Edna and May Boyle with a good
attendance. The vice president Mary
Haldenby welcomed all and began
the meeting with the 121st, psalm
and a hymn.
The rollcall was a Bible verse.
Kay Thacker secretary treasurer
read minutes and reported on a very
successful bazaar which was held in
October. This was followed by the
business.

the New Testament followed by the
hymn Blest be the tie that binds.
Agnes Hodgins had a humorous
reading on the Church attender and
another Eventide.
Edna Boyle played the well loved
hymn Amazing Grace as a piano
solo.
Mrs. Thacker read a poem from
the Heritage bpok - Its' me again
Lord, because I want to pray. I
don't want to bother you but I
always need you.
Lynda Thacker gave a meditation
on the Lord's prayer which was
prepared by Maureen Collins. It is
a prayer which is so often used and
all repeated it at this time. The
hymnank You Lord for this day
was swig for the closing and
Maureen Collins read On the wings
of a prayer.
Mary Haldenby gave the cour-
tesies and lunch was served by the
hostesses, assisted by Lynda Thack-
er and all enjoyed a social time
