Juveniles have full squad
a second loss

Lancers dealt
The Lucknow Juveniles have a
full squad of played for the 1993-
94 season.
The season opener was played at
Ripley and Lucknow took the win 3
to 1.
On Nov. 6, they travelled to Tara
and lost 3 to 1.
A game with Walkerton on Nov.
13 saw the team go down to defeat
6 to 2.
Goal scorers for Lucknow were
Adrian Rau and John Feeley, with
Atoms display
good effort
The Atom B team took to the ice
for their first game on Oct. 30
against Wingham. Although the
local team was defeated they put a
good effort and played hard. Goal
getters were Corey Robertson from
Steven Van Meeteren and Matthew
Martin unassisted.
On Nov. 10 the team got off to a
slow start in an out-of-town match
with Walkerton. By the end of the
second period the score was 5 - 0
against,them.
In te third period, the team
pulled together and prevented
Walkerton from getting any more
goals. They kept the play mostly in
the Walkerton end and after several
tries managed to get one past the
goalie. The goal came off the stick
of Matthew Martin with assists
going to Kiel Famish and Darlene
Aitchison.
Final score 5 - 1.

with a game in Teeswater Friday
night, Mildmay in town for an 8
p.m. Saturday evening game and
Lucknow travelling to Ripley for a
2:45 start Sunday afternoon.
Coaches this year are Mike
Whitcroft, with assistant Dean
Lindsay and Neil Rintoul as trainer.
The Lucknow Lancers lost their
second game in a row as the Grand
Valley Tornadoes spoiled the
season's hotne opener.
Both teams were short-staffed
with the visitors outlasting the
Lancers to win 5 to 3.
Scott Hackett, Steve Simpson and.
Mike Whitcroft scored for the home
squad with Dean Lindsay backing
up the defence in the Lancer net..
$25 winners in the Lancers draw
were Mary Lou Priestap, Brian Van
Osch and Kevin Clark.
The Lancers host Dundalk on
Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
The "devil"
haunted the
Ice Demons
The Lucknow Ice Demons hosted
Wingham for their first home game
of the season on Nov. 11.
Wingham opened the scoring and
kept Lucknow under control.
In the third, Lucknow's Chris
Tabor put one past the Wingham
goalie CO break his -shutout. Assists
went to Daryl Aitchison and
Richard Waike.
Final score Wingham 5, Lucknow
1.
Good luck team against Blyth on
Thursday night.
