Wednesday, November 17, 1993 Robinsons have a special family member for three months A Goderich District Collegiate Institute exchange student, Raffaelia Piazzini, of Italy, has been enjoying her stay with Patricia Robinson, daughter of Bill and Sue Robinson, R.R.#2, Auburn. Raffaelia has been made a special member of the Robinson family for the last three months and will return to her home in Italy on Saturday, Nov. 20. She has been attending school with Patricia at GDCI. She has enjoyed the International Plowing Match and Farm Machinery Show near Walkerton, the Canadian National Exhibition at Toronto, visited Kingston, London, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, Detroit, Michigan and thoroughly enjoyed "A Mid Summer Night's Dream" at the Stratford Festival Theatre, to name but a.few events as everywhere the Robinson car went Raffaelia went too. She likes our country because it is so very clean and not crowded. She was amazed at the color changing of the leaves and enjoyed dressing up to trick or treat at Halloween. The Robinsons have really en- joyed having Raffaelia stay with them and will be sorry to see her leave. Patricia will be going to visit Raffaelia at her home in Italy for a DUNGANNON three months return visit in February. This area was shocked to hear of the sudden death of Russell Irvin on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Wingham and District Hospital. Funeral ser- vice was conducted from the Trinty United Church on Friday. Sincere sympathy to his wife Lillian and family. The Dungannon Play School celebrated Nov. 11 with a Remembrance Day talk and drew pictures with a cross and a poppy. Jesse Wood and Sam Johnston celebrated November birthdays. Lunch included decorated cupcakes with candles. Raffle ticket winners at the SL Augustine Bazaar were: quilt - Bradley Hickey; beef Sister Mary James of London; $25.00 - Erin Hickey. The .money, tree was won by Ann Marie Tiffin; kids door prize - Josephine Long; lamp - Janet McPherson; camera - Karrie Beyersbergen; $25.00 gift certificate donated by An's Landscaping - Wayne Durnin; grocery basket - Helen Kramers. Sympathy is extended to Allan and Beth Dickson, on the death of their son-in-law Garry Ladouceur on Saturday, Nov. 13. Funeral services were held from the Knights of Columbus Hall, Stratford on Nov. 16. For the past four months, Garry at age 44, valiantly fought a cancerous battle. He is survived by wife Diane and • daughters Nicole and Sharisse. John and Marina Park enjoyed a family get-together on Sunday. Present was John, Liz and Jason Stanbury, Wayne, Rosemary and Michael Park, Glenda and children Krystal and Joey. Joey. and Rosemary were celebrating Novem- ber birthdays. ' Mrs. Jack Smith, Clinton (forme- rly of this area) daughter Mary Byers and her son Eric, renewed acquaintances Tuesday, with former neighbors and friends. Visiting Allan and Beth 'Dickson were his sister Margaret and Jack Ga,jewski of. St. Thomas. Allan and John were pall bearers at the funeral of their uncle, Mansell Fowler in Goderich. Dungannon Senior Citizens hosted nine tables of euchre on Wednesday evening. Donna and Lav Culbert were winners as well as Jean Bates and Harold. Gardiner. Lay Minister Micheline Montreuil was in charge of Sunday worship at Dungannon United Church. Canadian ,Girls in Training meet on Monday evenings, with Explorers and Messengers meeting on Wednesday night. It was announced that White Gift Sunday is Nov: '28.
